I have no idea where this came from but if you're in Vegas swing down to Fulton Fish Frye in NYNY.

Ugh. the strip huh?
I am on the strip every day.

I know some of you hate word marks on team jerseys but this is what I have for my team for a Sim league.

Ah, I can see them making the claims but they would all fall to invalid. Unless there was some agreement the artist had made to the site that turned over ownership, the ownership belongs to the original artist.

Even the revisions others have made would have no real ownership as they are tweaking the IP of someone else.

In the end it would be pretty simple to straighten out the legal issues. Some people would come forward with claims, sure, but I'm sure people make claims to every design any company has come out with.

If anything, IMO, owners might be against the idea of admitting that a fan designed something better than their design team.

Wouldn't a significant issue arise from sites and their "right to reuse and redistribute". Let's say you mocked up a new secondary logo and then loaded it to imgur or something to post here.

Imgur could then have the right to use that image in any way they wanted, wouldn't they? And if they flames then purchased it from you, imgur wouldn't lose their right.

Even if imgur would eventually lose the case, I'm pretty sure teams would just avoid the whole issue by not touching anything that's been on the internet with a fifty foot pole.

After more than 10 years of not noticing... I just realized this is a skate.

That aviator concept is bad ass.
