Canada is doing the best they can with what they have but when you have 3 good players- David, Davies, Eustaquio- it ys hard to compete with the US that has 8/9 players at that level and a few more in the bench and suspended.

I’d like to see Adekugbe or a few others tried at the left sided CB role at the Gold Cup. And see what you’ve got in Bombito and Hiebert as well. Maybe someone will step up and surprise.

Tough night. Hard to win with your best player in poor form/just coming off an injury like that but expected better. A bit disappointed in the tactics. But still they got a big win against panama and banked some huge fifa ranking points.


Gold cup could be pretty dicey with practically half the roster not coming but good chance to blood some new gyys

Wasn't expecting a win but I wasn't expecting Canada would play that poorly.

No Davies, David, Larin, Buchanan or Kone for Gold Cup. Curious to see who gets a look in their place. Have to think a couple former Cavs make their debut.

Love to see Nelson and marshall-rutty see big minutes at the gold cup. Be great to develop some more depth in central mid too. As much as kj is a little unhinged right now he is right about how weak our mid was

I have to think this is something was talked about before the game. It wasn't like there was a chance to win when Hoillet came on so could have easily put Hutchinson in there.

This US team is very good. They are producing lots of talent, and I think if they keep trending in this direction they’ll be competitive with many of the top European sides.

The Canadian program is certainly trending in the right direction too, but we have nowhere near the depth of talent.

Gold Cup squad has been announced. Outside of Eustaquio, anyone on a big European club is off the roster.

Given the debacle that was the defense last night, curious to see Zac McGraw at CB. I won't pretend to know anything about him. Figured Borjan would be out and am really surprised Sirois isn't in the squad.

Considering we aren't going to win this thing and with how old Borjan is I would have liked to see 3 new keepers in the side for this tournament.

i am not keen on playing a 38 year old Borjan at the next WC so would like to see if we have any options beyond him and start developing them.

I’m surprised there wasn’t more rotation for the Gold Cup, that’s still a pretty experienced team.
It should be St Clair’s tournament to get him some experience and I expect Loturi to get a lot of action with how thin the midfield is. His profile of player would work really well with Eustaquio. Might see Laryea play in a midfield trio as well.
Excited to see Russell-Rowe and Shaffelburg. Great opportunity for the younger guys to get minutes without the established attacking group there.

Lots of defenders. Good. Want to see Kennedy and Miller bounce back
