I had not heard this but I suspect they are concerned that the Flames have not shown their best yet.
Hopefully this changes tonight. No time left to coast.

Johnny Gaudreau has been credited with 2 body checks in 33:51 of ice time.
Wake up Travis.

Not to discredit that stat, but Hamonic has been exceptional, and physically involved. For a guy who's already broken his jaw and lost some more teeth, Im impressed with his involvement. The guy has been an absolute beauty for us, and is playing like one tough SOB. I don't think he's one who needs to wake up.

I think the Flames as a whole aren't finishing enough checks.
They don't have to go out of their way to show they are tough, but if an opportunity is there, nail them.
Colorado isn't overly physical, but they took it to us pretty hard last game. Especially in the first period.

Anyone think it's worth it to go to Olympic Plaza or should I just watch from the comfort of home... I'm assuming it won't be as good as the parking lot party

Brodie can bounce a little from his #6 d spot I guess, I just don't want to see a ton more of him and would happily shift things around to get Valimaki in (assuming he's ready to go).

The Makar add is interesting. It'll be tough for him stepping in with a barely a practice in with the new team, but we shouldn't discount his ability to make an impact on the series. Sam Bennett did just that 4 years ago after playing in only one regular season game.

I think people on both sides of the spectrum should realize that despite of the final score there will be good and bad individual performances. On a forum this size you will see both side's comments. Read it and move on. No need to try and paint people as too negative or homers.
You don't have to agree with everyone and you don't have to try and correct everyone you disagree with.
Here is to a good game and a good discussion after.
Should add that his isn't about you NEB, just some general thoughts

Personally I have no problem with negativity. What I don’t like the few posters who only show up to post “Monahan is garbage” comments. If you’re going to be negative then back it up with some substance. Especially if it’s about one of our better players. To me there’s a difference between someone saying “Monahan had a bad game tonight because.......” and “Monahan is garbage”.

This game can’t start soon enough as it’ll give me a valid excuse to stare at my iPad instead of interacting with my in-laws in middle of nowhere butt #### Michigan.

Considering he seems to lose the trust of Bill far more often than not, and subsequently ends up in the doghouse for soft plays and stupid mistakes, I don't think we are going to see him on the right of Gio anymore. Not with the tough assignments and minutes that Peters needs Gio to play. Unless Rasmus has a crap game.

According to most media guys, the Flames barely exist. Therefore I don't take anything they say seriously, especially the idiots out east who didn't watch a single Flames game all season unless they were playing the Leafs.

I am worried that this game could become a trap game for us. We will see what this team is made of. We could be up 2-0. But its a brand new series

I am cutting back significantly but won’t be able to avoid a little drink tonight. I won’t lie I am having a drink right now.

A trap game? In an even series on the road? How do you figure?
