Looks like camp is pretty much on hold.
Ryan Rishaug @TSNRyanRishaug
Team Canada in quarantine for 14 days. They're continuing to work through details of what it entails now. Workouts and meetings to be done over zoom. Games this weekend are off.

Apparently, Yan Kuznetsov made Russia’s preliminary roster. This guy was an absolute unknown for me when he was drafted, but he was solid in the NCAA at a very young age, and now he might play in the WJC. Super cool!

Looks like the Rangers won't be releasing Lafrenière which will improve the chances of Pelletier's and Zary's chances of making the team.
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
It’s also believed the New York Rangers won’t be releasing Alexis Lafrenniere to Team Canada for the World Junior Championship. The NHL club wants their 1st overall pick to continue to train locally and focus on his first NHL training camp.

Pronman at the Athletic has Zary making the team as the fourth line center.
He does not project Pelletier making the team, feeling they will go with more talent on the energy lines.

Should be noted that Pronman was also extremely high on Zary pre draft, i think 11, meanwhile has always had a poor opinion on Pelletier.
With Lafreniere unavailable, Pelletier's chances have increased. And I don't know if you can get much more skilled as an energy player so the criticism is a bit confusing too.
That being said, I do think Zary is the superior player and will find his way onto the roster. I am also thinking Pelletier will make it.

Francis article on prospects ...
Link
And the following ...
Quote:
At six-foot-four, 210 pounds, Yan Kuznetsov (2nd, 2020) has a chance of making a real impact with a Russian team full of WJC newbies. The defenceman’s second season with the University of Connecticut is already underway.
“I talked to (coach Igor) Larionov and barring anything dramatic he’ll be on this team,” said Treliving.
“I think he’s going to be a stud.”

According to the 34 player roster released yesterday Feuk did not get an invite to Sweden's camp. Unless he is an unannounced injury/covid replacement or something.

From that article ... man can the kid process. Pretty incredible.
Quote:
Tomasino said he was surprised you passed back to him because he was heading behind the net. What did you see?
"I saw him get behind the defender's heels and he's a right-handed player so he'd be on his forehand and able to have the whole ice in front of him from behind the goal line and see what's going on. I didn't really have a chance to cut to the middle so as soon as I saw him get behind the d-man's heels I just read that if I got the puck to him he'd probably have a better read on all the players coming downhill and attacking the net."

the two players who tested positive, plus three others have been sent home; no mention of who they are. The three others may have nothing to do with Covid. May be injury or other ailments

Robertson (NYR), Milman (PHI), Simoneau, Hunt (MIN), and Greig (OTT) have been cut from Team Canada due to health reasons. 41 players left in camp.

Bob McKenzie lists 7 F locks. Unsurprisingly, Zary and Pelletier are not among them. However, he lists Pelletier as a front runner to make the team. No mention of Zary. Zary will have to claw his way onto the team if he wants a spot, it seems. I really hope he does.

I like that he mentions Pelletier as a front runner, and also like that Zary is listed on a line with Zary - Mercer - Tomasino - Mercer being a lock and Tomasino as a front runner as well. Hopefully Zary has a good showing and forces his way on the team
