Jannik breaks to serve at 4-2 in set 3, Novak breaks right back. This has been a really good match, by the way.

Jannik does it winning set 3 in a tie-break (7-2 was the tie-breaker score). That was some sublime tennis from the Italian.

Stylistically, Sinner is the closest to Djokovic.

Got a humdinger going on in Drummondville right now boys & girls between a young buck & a grizzled veteran.

Draxl & Diez involved in a tightly contested match. Draxl won the 1st 6-4 & Diez just nicked the 2nd set 7-6(9-7) in the tiebreak.

Wow Draxl sure has energy in spades (even for a 21 year old). Keeps on rocking on cooking Diez 6-1 in the third to pick up another W fresh off his Calgary title.

He reminds me of a young version of Marcus Giron, he's got some pretty good pop on his serve for a not very big guy and his ground stokes are very solid.

Charlie with a pretty easy win over Bweh just now. Hopefully the match between Meddy and Zverev later today is a little closer.

/Of course, if Meddy wants to humiliate Zverev, I'm fine with that as well.

Liam Draxl lost a hard fought match versus a young guy from Czechia (Michael Vrbenský) in Drummondville just now. Saved a handful of match points, but just couldn't get over the line today as Vrbensky takes it 6-7 6-3 7-5

Meddy wins in straight sets 7-6 6-4. Good stuff.

Challenger Tour is pretty deep and it was a very close match. Too bad but at least Draxl's game is clearly on the up and up.

Look forward to seeing how he can do with a heavier CH tour schedule next year.

Meanwhile the battle of two washed up hasbeens has ended. B. Paire's match goes umm... all pear shaped as he loses to J. Sousa 6-1 7-6(4).

Next match will determine who'll take on Sousa. It'll be either hometown fave Alexis Galarneau or Li Tu.

Whoever wins that match for me will be odds on favourite to take out Mr. Game Over. And I think Galarneau would have a good shot at the title too actually.

Hubi is into a 3rd set versus Novak...I think Hurkacz likes the fast conditions in Torino as he has to be considered the best server in the game currently.

Also, with Hubi taking a set from Novak, Jannik Sinner has qualified for the semi-finals. I think I just heard that if Holger beats Jannik later today, Novak could be out even if he beats Hubi.

Well, Jannik Sinner was looking good winning the first set 6-2 and on serve on set 2 when all of a sudden it appears Sinner tweaked his back. At nay rate, Rune goes on to win set 2 7-5 ergo we need a 3rd set. If Holger wins set 3, Novak is out.

Sinner prevails and wins the green group, Novak finished in 2nd place and also advances to the semi-finals, Holger is going home.

Charlie wins the red group with a 6-4 6-4 win over Meddy who also advances as a runner-up. That also means Zverev is done like dinner. A good way to start the weekend.

Jannik Sinner is into the ATP Finals with a 6-3 6-7 6-1 win. Meddy had a MTO between sets 2 and 3 and looked like his movement was certainly impacted, but take nothing away from Jannik, that was some impressive tennis today.

Of course, that match was just an appetizer for the main course in about 3 1/2 hours from now when Charlie takes on Novak.
