In that case, I am disappointed that the team and players identified a need to be fixed and the GM did absolutely nothing to fix it.

This whole "growing internally" BS does not mean anything. I would bet anything that guys like Gaudreau, Monahan, Backlund, Jankowski are not going to come back next season all of a sudden being tough to play against. They needed to bring in players who give a #### and have another gear..even Frolik recognized that.

The identified need is for the Flames to be tougher to play against. I know that Frolik said the Flames need to get bigger and meaner. IIRC similar comments came from the Flames management.

I would rather just drop Stone and stay with the current roster. I also dont see a lot of scenarios where Williams comes here for his retirement season..

If Kadri did block a trade to Calgary that sucks. I think he would have fit in well here. Unless some other trades happen in the summer I don't think the Flames will be much different next year.

I would rater have Dzingel but I can live with Ferland (as long as he isnt injured).

I would switch Neal and Mangiapane.. also not sure why you have Dube playing center as a rookie instead of Ryan who did very well last season in that role.

I think everyone needs to chill. Seems like some major overreactions to not landing Kadri or making a franchise altering deal today. They didn't need that. Moves to keep cap complaint and signing RFAs will come. Adding grit will come later. Heck even adding scoring with guys that didn't get signed today could come as soon as tomorrow.

Jankowski needs to take a big step forward too. If we do end up going into next season with a third line of Bennett - Jankowski - Neal again, all 3 need to pull their heads out of their asses

Have Ryan there on the line splitting duties/showing Dube the ropes as Center. They can share the duties but I should have been clearer on that - kinda like Monahan/Lindholm last year.
