Foo. Other than Schneider, the only guy I know anything about at all... even though he likely doesn't play again for the Flames.

I was thinking of Foo, but due to the fact that he is unlikely to come back to the Flames, I couldn't vote for him. Lindstrom has shown flashes of talent consistently. All the players remaining on the list though are relatively a long shot.

McKenna for me. He's one dimensional, but he's pretty dang good at that one dimension, and goal scoring can still get you to the NHL if you do it often enough.

Philp or Valiev, I think Philp because he had multiple NHL teams after him recently but really I have no idea how to look at CIS results.

Doubt Linus even gets a contract tbh

The thing that I find discouraging about Linus Lindstrom is that there was an apparent lack of progress in his development. I understand that he was playing in the SHL the third best league in the world, but all the same improving his stat line by 2 assists for a total of 6 point in 44 games is not encouraging. That said, when he was loaned to the Allsvenskan it seemed as if he was one of the better players there accumulating 2 assists in 5 games. 25 is probably a fair spot for him, just my two cents after following him most of last season.

I went with Nick Schneider. Goalies are black magic, and he looked good in Stockton for about 11 games.

Philp for me. The only guy who's ever dominated any league out of this bunch, aside from Foo.

You know the remaining list is getting bad when a non-Flames prospect is in third place.

I can't vote for McKenna since he is not even a Flames prospect. He can easily be signed by any other team at any time.

Going with Lindstrom. Played well for Sweden in the WJC a few years back. Still have hope he can put it together. Considered Philp here as well.

Went with Philp. Would have picked him higher, but the Lomberg thing threw my votes out of whack.

I think Foo has the best upside on the list, but I'm letting him fall because this is a Flames prospects list and I doubt he ever plays another game for the Flames.

At this point you have McKenna who isn't even Flames property but who has a chance at putting it all together (for the Flames or another team), Philp who dominated USports (is he Derek Ryan, Joel Ward, or countless players never heard from again), Valiev who is a solid but unexciting defenceman, Schneider who is unpredictable simply by being a goaltender, and then a bin of players with 0% chance of ever playing regularly in the NHL.

Jeremy McKenna
Whether he should be on the list is debatable, but I'm voting based on the players that appear on the list.

One dimensional goal scorer but scoring goals is the most difficult skill in hockey. Excellent at getting open and finding gaps in coverage which allows him to get his hard and accurate shot off. Also terrific on the powerplay. But, his defensive shortcomings significantly reduce his probability of success. Hockey is full of junior snipers who didn't pan out, but there are a few who have turned into mighty good scorers. Over 5 shots per game is insane.

Ceiling: 2nd line W
Probable: Tweener
Floor: Outright bust

Defintely Philp here. He had a number of teams trying to sign him this summer. Not sure how anyone is voting for McKenna- he isn't even Flames property.

Why do people keep saying McKenna shouldn't be on this list?

I still feel like Valiev is being overlooked a little. He is signed and has already had some NHL games under his belt (one more than Lomberg for that matter). I expect him to be the first call-up this season when injuries occur. In fact, I believe he would be on the roster in an organization with less depth on D than the Flames.

Because he doesn't have an NHL contract? Not sure why that site is using Eric Francis as an authority on contract details
