I hope Tulo can always look back at the monumental spring training home run he hit against us. He’s so broken and should just take his millions and go home for good.

Chris Davis has started the year a scorching hot 0/17 with 11 strikeouts. He had one of the worst seasons ever last year and he somehow might be worse this year, and he's due another $69 million after this year. At what point do you just release him and eat the money?

How exciting is Ramon Laureano? Just an absolute cannon for an arm. It is one of the most satisfying things on earth watching him gun down Red Sox players trying to run on him.
https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/04/red...top-trying-mlb
Quote:
In the first game of their four-game set in Oakland, the Boston Red Sox made the mistake of testing A’s outfielder Ramon Laureano. Laureano, blessed with an astonishing throwing arm, reminded the Boston team what he could do on Monday night when Xander Bogaerts attempted to score from second on a single to center.
You’d think after that, maybe the Sox would know better than to run on Laureano again. But no! The very next day, Bogaerts smacked a ball off the the top of the right-center field wall that bounced away from Laureano. It looked like a certain triple, but only if you somehow forgot that Laureano can do absurd things with a baseball in his hand even one day after he reminded you all about it.

Last year's league leaders in outfield assists (Benintendi, Hamilton and Haniger) all had 12, with each of them playing 144 games or more in the outfield. I've probably watched the video of the double play he turned last year against the Angles a hundred times, it's mesmerising.

Going back to last season, Chris Davis is 1/54 w 31k.
I think a CPer could do that.

In Benintiendis case the green monster allows him to play shallow and throw out guys at home or 2nd.
Oakland is a pretty good sized field so for a CF playing games there to do this is impressive.

The Rays are going to be 4.5 games ahead of the Red Sox. I know its early but that's going to be hard to make up since the Rays are a very good team.

Porcello getting absolutely shelled the second start in a row. So nice to see.
Starting pitching will be their achilles heal this year IMO.
Sale
Price
Porcello
Eovaldi
Rodriguez
Sale is a legit ace obviously but the rest don't impress me as much as the Yankees staff.

Davis now 0-for-44, closing in on futility mark
Quote:
BALTIMORE -- Orioles first baseman Chris Davis is nearing a record streak for futility.
Davis was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Sunday's 15-3 loss to the New York Yankees. He is 0-for-23 with 13 strikeouts this season and is hitless in 44 at-bats since a second-inning double off James Shields of the Chicago White Sox last Sept. 14.
Davis is two shy of the record for consecutive hitless at-bats by a position player, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Eugenio Velez went hitless in his final 46 at-bats of the 2011 season, one more than the previous mark shared by Pittsburgh's Bill Bergen (1909), Dave Campbell of San Diego and St. Louis (1973) and Milwaukee's Craig Counsell (earlier in 2011).

Chris Davis has broken the record. 0 for 48.
Since Davis' last hit.
570 different MLB players have gotten a hit
55 of them were pitchers
