Default Arborist/Tree Removal Company Recommendations

So I have a large weeping birch (~2 stories tall) in my front yard and it looks like it's not doing so well. Either disease, bugs, or something else seems to have killed most of it in the winter and barely any branches on the tree look like alive at this point.

Anyone have recommendations for a tree whisperer to coax this thing back from the brink or barring that remove the tree and grind down the stump at a reasonable price? How long does it usually take for a semi dead tree to become a hazard from something like root rot or falling branches?

4x4 knows a guy. He came by my place and did a really good job on my neglected apple tree, and offered me lots of advice. Good price, too.

Levon knows his stuff and does good work. I'd recommend him too.

If you do wind up cutting it down and you're not planning on keeping it, I'd be willing to come grab most (if not all) of the trunk/branches too big for the arborist to grind.

I used this guy too. Him and 4x4 came by and helped trim a big huge spruce tree I had. Recommend!

You just stand in your yard and yell his name.

How big is the diameter of the trunk? I’d be interested in some sections if it’s over 6” or so.

You are like an ambulance chaser, but for trees.

Surferguy only wants your wood if it is over 6" though.

Sorry about the bumped thread.

I have a few tree's in my yard that need a little trimming. Wondering if anybody has any specific recommendations ? I have sent a PM to 4X4 but wondering if anybody has come across someone who did a good job?

Thanks!

Jay's Tree Care 403-992-5290
Does good work, been using him for years. He's done pruning, removed a tree, treated a tree to get rid of scale, etc.

He is a client of mine and done some excellent arbor care around my home. I highly recommend him.
