Also, cral12 I want to thank-you for introducing me to the handpan. I've been absolutely captivated by it since I saw that video you posted. This is one of my favs I've come across so far, as I love all the variations in the playing of the instrument displayed.

Finally got a shot of my guitars, love the Fenders for their build, intonation and playability but the Les Paul Goldtop is my favorite, heavy as hell.

^Amazing collection, Engine09!

^^Woob! No problemo - glad to share what has become an obsession of mine now - have watched that video an almost unhealthy # of times already ; ) There's some amazing musicians out there playing this and similar instruments (and combining them). I'm so looking forward to receiving my YW Pulsar (the steel tonguepan) hopefully by next month (and probably then realizing just how gifted those musicians are as I try to play in a slapdash manner!).

Sweet looking Tele. Is the neck a pig or thin?

David Gilmour’s guitar collection set several auction records when nearly 130 instruments went up for bid at Christie’s in New York today. The former Pink Floyd frontman’s most iconic instrument, the so-called Black Strat, fetched $3,975,000, well above the estimated range of $100,000 to $150,000. Other big-ticket items included a 1954 Fender Stratocaster with the serial number 0001, which was used on the recording of “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2” went for over $1.8 million, a 1958 Gretsch White Penguin went for $447,000, and a 1955 Gibson Goldtop Les Paul, also used on “Another Brick” sold for $447,000. Christie’s declared all to be “world auction records.”

Audio Production, Recording, Mixing & Mastering

What kind of gear do you use? What DAW(s) do you like? Plugins?

I just bought a midi controller keyboard so excited to get started with that.

Had some componant drums and custom kick heads show up a while back to finish my Reference kit off. I picked southern Alberta sunsets for the kicks, seemed fitting and matches the scarlet fade finish. Denny at the dungeon.

I always wanted a Bonham setup, made up of super thin maple shells with re rings. I took delivery on this kit this fall, the Sonor Prolites fit the bill. Love this kit and a totally different animal from the others. Big boy sizes, 24 kick, 12, 13 rack toms, 16 and 18 floors.

In the process of moving now so music gear is cased up and put away. Just a pad and pair of sticks atm.

Just before the holidays I picked up a Jackson HT7, which has scratched my itch for a modern 7 string and a roasted maple neck guitar. For the first time in my life my collection feels oddly complete.

That's a sexy finish on that Ibanez.
