Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
In St. Louis, Bill Peters says “we’ll make the decision this evening and let the starter know” when it comes to tomorrow’s goalie in St. Louis.

He didn't even flinch when he got hit he just kept playing, but I could see he was in some pain once he got to the bench!

Those are the worst, your adrenaline is pumping but as soon as it stops and the swelling starts you're not going to have a good time.

Smith has a terrible record in St Louis.

The guy holds his glove like Ortio.

Realistically, it's probably a U of C goalie. Or Sigalet.

Peters also used a practice goalie in Carolina. Here's a whole article on the topic of practice goalies.

https://www.nhl.com/news/unmasked-ca...es/c-285359464

Quote:
"It's great because now your guys get to shoot on a goalie, you get to work on stuff," Peters said earlier this season. "We love Little Wardo, but you're not afraid to one-time one off his noggin, whereas the other guys, they need a break. You get to the halfway point or the dog days of the season and goaltenders want to get their work in and get off and guys don't want to shoot at an empty net, so it's huge to have somebody that can go out and take some shots. And we want to work on net-front presence and deflecting pucks so we can do that with Little Wardo in net and get our guys bombing away there, and it doesn't wear out your two primary goaltenders."

Krahn is huge (in more ways than one) and Sigalet is relatively small, FWIW.

Seems like a good idea to me. I always remembered playing net in soccer and you dont want to always take too much warm-up because your players need to warm up and they want to score and you want to save and it doesnt really get anyone's confidence flowing.

According to @GoalieGearNerd on twitter, the goalie is Tyler Stewart, one of the emergency back ups in St Louis.

I wonder if this means Jankowski is sitting for a 2nd straight game?

It's hard to remove anyone from the lineup after that game.

Forsberg said after the 1st period the 21 shots Smith faced were so easy he could have stopped them.

Or something like that.
