If someone were to tie you to a chair and pry your eyes open in the style of 'A Clockwork Orange' and force you to watch all 5 films in a row, at the end you'd profess that Spiderman 2 was the least torturous 2 hours of the entire endeavour. And while, considering the process, that comes across as high praise, it really was never a very high bar.

I dunno I thought Spider-Man 3 had it's clutch moments:

I think all the Spider-Man movies had their moments. 3 was "bad" for a Spider-Man movie, but I liked parts of it, and the biggest issue was obviously the major involvement the studio had. I enjoyed Church as Sandman, and I think the story itself was fine... just some of the moments were cringeworthy. I wouldn't say it's bad like The Last Stand, Wolverine Origins, or Batman/Superman. It was more of a weird unnecessary turn with one too many villains. Obviously the worst thing was how it butchered Venom, but the first half is at least watchable imo. I would say overall there's far more good than bad in the Spider-Man franchise.

I would say it's almost on par with the X-Men movies in terms of mean quality.

The villains in ASM 2 (Electro and especially Rhino) were an abomination compared to Sandman and Venom.

You're just bitter because I am objectively and irrefutably correct.

You want to hope that the new Spiderman film won't suck and I just remind you that, historically speaking, the odds are against that being the reality.

What's the phrase, you're not wrong you're just an ahole?
Sam Rami one and two were awesome. Taking our bias away they're sitting at 89% and 93% respectively on Rottentomatoes. It's a little surprisingly you don't like two, but we all have our tastes.

The next two are.. Boring? Ugh, bad. I kind liked the second one but no.. No I don't.

Hopefully this new one has the Marvel studios touch.

I think you missed the part about me being objectively and irrefutably correct. Did you miss that part? Because it seems like you did.

Can we get the CP filter updated to autocorrect Spiderman to Spider-Man? Talk about triggered...

Also, Venom comes pre-ruined.

Shocked they got Cruise to do a Mummy remake. I know they are cheesy (and all but 1 are downright terrible), but I enjoyed the lighthearted humor of the first one, and I hope they keep it!

It's not a remake of the Brendan Frasier Mummy movie, it's part of Universal's new Monster universe

But it is a reboot of the franchise as that version was also a Universal Monster movie.

Does Vin Diesel make the same face for the entire movie?

It is amazing how they turned an average film about street racing into the world's most epic and ridiculous action series.

Shouldn't the title be "The F8 of the Furious" though
