Crunch - Agree with your rankings completely, with one covet; that being Enterprise. I got the feeling that Manny Coto got through the last season, cleaned up all of the previous mess, told the cast and crew that they were set to have an amazing last three seasons to totally redeem themselves, and then were cancelled. I give Enterprise an asterisk next to their ranking.

And no love for Animated Series? They had personal force fields!
Thanked for Farscape. One of the most awesome and underappreciated sci-fi shows around. They really proved that even with a next-to-nothing budget you can still make a great space show. Ben Browder as John Crichton is one of the best characters in any sci-fi show

I watched the first four episodes and then lost interest. Does it get better?

It's really difficult listening to some people talk about Trek so concretely conclusive like their view is the only correct one.

All the series had their strong points and it's entirely subjective.

I really enjoyed TNG the most, and it was in large part due to Stewart:

Still get chills watching this:

Try having this conversation with diehard James Bond fans. Implacable as they are insufferable.

Came across this clip a few months ago and was reminded of how great a sequence this was:

The piece in this video from The Drumhead is pretty appropriate considering recent world events.

I'll add this from one of my favorite TNG episodes, 'Tapestry'

A very good lesson.

They need to follow the tried and true formula and employ only actors that otherwise would not be able to find work.

Either that or make Chief O'Brien a Captain now flying Federation Garbage Scows through War-Zones or something. That could be cool.

Definitely not enough Chief O'Brien.

Spoiler!

Was Just watching TNG Season 2 episode 11, Contagion, where an Ionian virus takes over the computer. Anyway, they go to Ionia where there is this gateway, and a very familiar image appeared!
Spoiler!

This is also in the gateway, I guess someone noticed a long time ago.

I haven't found any mention of the Mt Temple/Lake Louise shot before though. Did I just find an easter egg?

I think there's a mention of Alberta or something for an episode where Wesley and the kids go skiing on the holodeck, and then get sick. I can't remember what season it's in, but I had to laugh at that one. Might be related.

Wesley mentioned that he and another Starfleet Academy student went skiing to Calgary during winter break or something.

I think it was the episode where the student (the one he went skiing with) died when they tried to do the super dangerous flying maneuver.

You mean the episode where Wesley and his group were on trial for the training exercise death? That's a much later episode for sure. Maybe you're mashing the two together.

EDIT: Nope, I was way off. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/T..._Duty_(episode)

If only they'd followed naval tradition and ordered Wesley put to death via airlock ejection.
