You can make your point without suggesting that the cap dump Kuz was valued as a 39 goal scorer.

Why would you join this place to suggest we are the worst fans? Pretty reprehensible, unless I’m missing some sort of unfunny joke.

I’ll never understand why fans of a different team would care enough to join this site just to stir things up. There’s a lot of teams in this league. Not working at all I guess? Same goes for that Canucks fan who’s more active on here than pretty much every flames fan.

Quite the long game. Join the site and nearly twenty years later take a shot at Flames fans.

Not wrong on Treliving, any fan with even a few hockey related brain cells knew he was a disaster years ago

Flames fans are the worst... They complain about how expensive hockey games are. Calgary has the cheapest tickets available in the NHL. Bleeds cost almost nothing, and even cheaper or free if you look on CP. Flames fans also complain about how expensive concessions are... Again, Calgary has some of the cheapest stadium beer in the NHL. For food, again, discount vouchers are available on CP. Calgary also has a higher median income than a lot of other NHL cities.

Flames fans are the worst... They complain about how there are way too gambling ads on TV. Calgary (and generally Alberta) loves loves loves pouring their money into 50/50s. A Seattle 50/50 might get $20,000 -- Calgary consistently gets to $100,000. Alberta has more casino density than anywhere that isn't Nevada. Calgarians absolutely love gambling.

Flames fans are the worst... They spend 9 years exulting Brad Treliving as a Wizard and the greatest GMs of all time. The wizard does it again! How did he manage to get player X to sign for that cap hit! What a steal of a trade! But, after two (in hindsight) bad deals/signings, he is written off as the worst GM of all time. Completely normal behaviour.

Flames fans are the worse for not understanding sarcasm and jest

It’s so bad this site needed to create a specifically colored text to ensure the stupid Flames fans can understand a joke ! (Even though the OP was not funny at all !)

Flames fans lose interest in the team way too quickly when the going gets tough.

Flames fans have one of the quietest buildings in the league. Unless we play the Oilers or Leafs in which case it's like playing an away game.

Flames fans enjoy booing players that used to play here way too much.

Flames fans enjoy doing the wave way too much.

Also Flames fans are always more knowledgeable than both the coach and GM, and can speak with absolute conviction about everything that goes on behind closed doors in the Flames dressing room.

Saying all that, I still wouldn't exchange my fellow Flames fans for any other fanbase!

I’ve been a Rider fan for 35 years or more.

I can attest that their fan boards are rarely an oasis of positivity.

Think it’s pretty typical.

Point #1 - many of us have been fans since the team last won the Cup…if some fans give up after 36 years of tough going is too quickly, I guess we you can call them fickle.

Point #2 - a ton of tickets are bought by companies who give the tickets to non fans or used to bring clients to the game. I wish that wasn’t the case. However, when the team is in the playoffs, the Dome can be pretty fricking loud.

I hope you also read the last point.

I understand the reasons behind all those. And I wasn't complaining as much as acknowledging that we aren't perfect. That said, I still think it's a great fan base, and I'd take it over any other.

Being a Riders fan is one of the most vanilla hillbilly canadian prairies things I can think of.

Very close to oilers territory for lamest teams to be obsessed over.

Both look almost equally ridiculous in public.

To riff on Winston Churchill:

Flames fans are the worst fans in hockey, except for the fans of all the other teams that have been tried from time to time.
