Their Americanos. You can taste where the espressos went wrong. You’re right about their lattes though, I can’t remember tasting anything but milk, and even the sweet notes if the steamed milk didn’t come through. Big coffee chains have seemed to have given up on barista training.

From what I see, Starbucks employees don't have much input into the drinks, the machines look super automated and they have been automated for lowest common denominator.

Crumbl is immensely popular? This is the first time that I've heard of the place and we travel to the US quite a bit.

Both are weak. I tried a Chiptole in Seattle. It was horrible. I couldn’t believe people paid for that. Crumbl is just overpriced. Once the novelty wears off, people will go back to their grocery store cookies or Subway.

The one time I tried Chipotle in the states, I was so underwhelmed. It was essentially a worse Mucho Burrito. Did not see the appeal at all.

Their owner/operator deal is amazing compared to franchising a different fast food restaurant. Starting a KFC costs millions, whereas a chick-fil-a costs $15k. You just get the operating income benefits not the long term sale value, but it opens it up to a much wider possible group.

Will definitely be trying Crumbl, what with being a cookie lover and the store being in Airdrie. Will probably be really busy this weekend though, need to wait for the hype to die down a bit.
