Paintball is so 2010.

Tactical laser tag with shock belts is where it's at now. No mess, just sweat and customized pain!

What was your previous username Looch? Saw the discussion of the change after the fact. I’m trying to place the posting style.

^ I think it was Bill Bumface most recently and then something before that too lol.

On topic, I was raised in Calgary but have never set foot in a Ranchmen-type establishment before. What's it like? I imagine the dancing to be like Back to the Future 3 when they went back to the era of the wild west and they were dancing at that outdoor fair? Is the crowd mostly older or are young people in their early 20s still getting into it?

Bill bumface is a different poster. I would never change that name. Original name was hulkrogan I think
I don’t remember who Looch City is even though I was the one that changed it.

Pretty much like this, but more douchy and crappier music.

You guys are weird.

I’ve seen some pretty solid bands at Ranchmans, and an awful lot of people who legit know how to dance. And not bump’n’grind, but downright impressive real dancing. That place attracted a lot of the bar star crowd, sure, but it was also a very respectable western bar.

Someone stole the Cool Runnings sled off the building.

https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/cool-runn...an-s-1.5162126

Quote:
Calgary police confirmed Monday that a portion of the sled from the movie Cool Runnings was stolen recently.

According to a Calgary police spokesperson, the theft was reported Monday around 4 p.m., which was confirmed by realtor Rob Campbell, who is handling the Ranchman's property on his Instagram page.
Quote:
”I am gutted to report that the Bobsled from the movie Cool Runnings has been stolen off the building at Ranchmans!" Campbell wrote.

"I don't know what the hell someone thinks they can do with it, but please share this post and if you know anything about who did this or where we can find this piece of Ranchman's history, please reach out to me directly."

Campbell reported the theft to the police and said there is a reward offered for its return.

Doesn't the sled face the Micky D's 24h drive thru window? It's not like you can just grab that sled and nick it inside of a minute; it would take some coordinated effort.

And it was chained to the roof, at least 3 meters off the ground, too...

You'd need about 4 stout men. Ideally in skintight suits, and used to working fast. And perhaps a fat supervisor to keep lookout.

Who is keeping an eye on some of the snow covered hills around Calgary?

Looks like it is going to make a comeback...

He said he’s been asked to keep the identity of the new owners quiet for now, but he said they are a large landowner in Calgary.

“They own a large amount of property in Calgary and their intention is to keep the building the way it sits for now and find a new tenant,” Campbell said.

Haha, but instead of interacting like normal people we'll all just be typing our conversations into our laptops.
