The contamination thing is a fair issue though, but I think we both wouldn't disagree that it's not big enough of an issue to actually consider it a problem worth attempting to solve right away.

Ya, I have no idea how big of an issue it is. Not my department! If it's a minor issue, they can work around it. If it becomes a big issue, it ends up contaminating 2 other waste streams, and means throwing them in the dump, then it is a pretty major issue because it means the entire system is a failure.


This could all be resolved if people weren't the worst.

We shouldn't design a system around assuming people will suddenly all start doing the right thing though.

If it hasn't happened so far in history I doubt this batch of city councilors is the group that finally cracks the code. Maybe if we put Magliocca in charge of the "everyone just does the right thing" initiative?
