Default Who deserves the next call up to Calgary?

Besides Boyd & Nystrom who are already with the Flames, who deserves the next shot to be called up to Calgary?

Germyn - Kolanos - Stevenson
Chucko - Peters - Maki
Cunning - Prust - VanderGulik

Palin - Hambly
Pardy - Ramholt
Pelech - Negrin

Stevenson, he had played great this year for quad city. I would love to see Pardy/Negrin called up.

I think stevenson has earned a shot but that only comes after the QC flames finish their playoffs run. Who knows maybe no one gets called up because they are all busy on the Calder Cup run.

Im sure QC and the Flames care, especially Sutter, who will want to see these guys fight adversity and see who rises to the top when it counts. Not to mention the experience they'll gain.

We have extra bodies with the Flames every night as healthy scratches. Doubt anyone comes up.

Unless we have a lot of injuries I can't see us dipping to the farm. We have enough bodies up right now. Even with actual injuries and the flu bug going around we still didn't need to go down to the farm.

You're right but my point was that Stanley Cup is WAY MORE important than Calder Cup. But I would like to Negrin called up come training camp, I have high hopes for this kid

Germyn has been working his butt off all year, and lately it is finally starting to pay off on the scoresheet. IMO he's also shown a lot of leadership, on the ice at least. If he's not recognized as the de facto leader in the locker room, he's probably one of the top 2 or 3, just due to being a veteran leading by example. I'd hate to lose him, but would like to see him rewarded!

I don't think the Flames will call up anyone at this point while QC is fighting for the playoff spot. When and if they get eliminated in one of the rounds, then we will see Pardy, Stevenson, Germyn, Maki, Keetley and Prust will be the call ups and be the Black Aces.

Any reason why McElhinney is being snubbed?

Stevenson, Germyn, Maki, Prust Pardy and Keetley as the black aces, looks likely, although some say Hambly and Palin are the teams two best defensemen plus Ramholt's already been recalled once this season too, what about Kolanos..he does have the most experience and Peters made the team out of training camp, McElhinney also has more experince than Keetley

Kolanos has a contract with the qc owners only not calgary so hes out. if the players like Germyn stevenson are on waiver status you think sutter is going to take a chance on losing Stevenson or Germyn?

This stuff (waiver rules, AHL eligibility, contract statuses) have been explained at least a dozen times over. Some folks either ignore it, don't believe it, or really don't grasp the concepts. Unfortunately.

In the long term, I suppose Pelech & Chucko would be the one's to eventually join the Flames though.

I think stevenson would clear waivers becaues any team that claims someone after the trade deadline can't use that player this year. Unless some non playoff team wants to stick it to the Flames.

The Canadians did that to us one year, they claimed Beniot Gratton off waivers right before the Saint John Flames went on to win the Calder Cup, I think Saint John Management ended up giving Gratton a Calder Cup ring the following season even though he was gone by the time the playoffs began...
