Default Warren Peters to join the walking wounded?

Tonight, in Milwaukee, Warren Peters went down to block a slapshot from the point in overtime. He went down kind of awkwardly and the puck hit him square in the face. I think it caught him under the chin but I'm not positive. It made a sickening thud. I was about 25 rows up and I could hear it. Here's hoping the Captain is doing alright and is able to suit back up soon. He's definitely one of the heart and soul guys on the team.

Indeed, he went down like a bullet...and kudos to the trainer for getting to him so quickly. I think he was there almost before any other players realized what happened!

He was able to skate off the ice on his own, but it was a horrible sound when it hit....in an arena that resembled a church more than a hockey rink for most of the game! Hope we see Peters back on the ice tonight....he's a true leader and we need him out there!!

During Flames Forum last night, Scotty said that he has a couple of bone cracks around his eye, and it looked on Friday night like he might have about a dozen stitches.

He hasn't played since Milwaukee, and is day-to-day, but was going to skate before practice today and see if he could participate in a limited practice as well. He may play this weekend, but he'll definitely be wearing a full face mask.

I got the chance to talk with Warren yesterday and he thinks he wll be playing this weekend. I got a couple pictures with him and Prust while at work, I will post the links.

Here's a cropped version of his face so you can see his bruises.

I have a couple more if you guys want to see me and my fiance with them.

Careful... if you post photos of yourself on CP, people might photoshop them. There's some good KevanGuy pictures floating around.

Steve Begin's mug sorta looked like that the year the Saint John Flames won the Calder Cup.

Meh, makes him look mean!
