Lanny McDonald in St.John's Newfoundland

A little OT and such, I wasn't quite sure where to post this but Lanny's coming here to St. John's and is going to conduct the opening face-off tonight at the Fog Devils Game. http://www.thetowncryer.net/featured..._mcdonald.html My son and I are going to be in attendence and are debating wether or not to wear our flames gear. Is there any players we shout keep an eye out for? The Fog Devils are playing the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. I wonder If he's going to have a little chat with young Mr. Ryder (Danny) while he's here?

I saw Lanny at 7-11 last week.

Lanny doesn't work for The Flames so i'm not sure why he'd be talking to Dan Ryder...

Lanny's not with the flames anymore is news to me, I thought he was in a office/PR capacity. I thought it was good to see anybody associated with the Flames, past or present, to be here in Newfoundland showing support for a good cause. They raffled off a signed Lanny Jersey from both the Flames and the Leafs with the proceeds going to the Boy's and Girls club.
Anyway, my son and I had a good time at his first ever hockey game. The Fog Devils rolled over the Screaming Eagles 6-0.

Lanny hasn't had anything to do with the Flames since they passed him over for GM like 6 years ago. He broke it off totally.
