Thumbs up What is something you REALLY want to happen next season?

Besides the obvious things: win the cup, get 120 points, win the division etc.

I'm looking for more micro/small detailed things:

Here's mine:
I REALLY want Bennett to step it up and score 20 goals.
I REALLY want Peters to be a better coach than GG.
I REALLY want our team to be exciting to watch again.
I REALLY want our powerplay to finally shine with the talent we have.
I REALLY want one of our goalies to play 25+ games to take the load off Smith.

That's about it for now but I'm sure I'll have more later.

More than anything, not miss a single beat in being competitive.

Far too many times have we blamed our failures from new coaching or players trying to get accustomed to their new team. It’s time we put away the excuses and just play good hockey. Every player pulls their weight, every coach makes adjustments when needed.

Depending on how the new players fit in, this is entirely possible.

I really want to see Sam Bennett prove he is anything more than a 3rd line winger who takes multiple badly timed penalties and not get knocked off the puck so easily.

I'm setting the bar really low here: just give us a brand of hockey that doesn't make us all want to stop watching.

Brodie/Giordano returning to form.
Hamonic/Hanifin synchronizing.
Young D challenging for spots.

Gillies emerging as heir apparent to Smith. As backup in Calgary, or by dominating in the A.

Total and complete humiliation of the Oilers.

I think that goes almost without saying.

I would love to see a Flames goalie prospect pull a Murry and become a top 10 goalie. The Flames really need a legit long term goalie.

I expect a playoff run. No playoffs is unacceptable

I want Bennett to step up and be the top 6, 2 way player that he can be

No more slow starts to the season. Get the final lineup together for a couple games in pre season and come out of the gates flying for once.

Also above average special teams would be great.

I really want Edmonton to miss the playoffs so badly that they get a lottery pick again. And I want Bennett to break through.

For the Flames, I really want at the end of the season no one regrets signing any of the new players or giving out any long term contract extensions. Basically we don't get another dreaded Brouwer situation...
