Spoilers...Avengers: Infinity War Spoilers Thread
As per the request in the other thread makes some sense for this one to have it’s own Spoilers thread.
For the first couple pages we should probably still use spoiler tags.
Just an amazing movie IMO. Was actually pleasantly surprised with how well they handled the giant cast.

It'll probably pass Justice League's total box office in two weeks. Maybe less...
Wonder what Warner's/DC will think about that?

Spoiler tags in the spoiler thread. Hilarious. If you're in here, you want spoilers and/or have no right to kvetch about them.
At any rate, I saw it and it was amazing.
This was a great culmination of the last 10 years.
I was expecting a bunch of the deaths really, but it's Marvel. You're only dead for as long as you need to be.
I absolutely loved the Iron Spider suit.
I also found the Banner/Hulk turmoil very interesting.
This is definitely a Thanos movie, and a very well done one indeed.
I also got a kick out of the StarLord/Thor scenes.

Wow just wow, what an epic accomplishment. It was incredible to bring everyone together and a fan of the MCU I was very fulfilled. Some comments:
-That opening scene OMG. You know Thanos really means business beating down the Hulk and killing Loki.
-Doctor Strange was great in this one and I loved the "Sherlock" interaction with Stark. It is very interesting he learned the 1 in 14 million win scenario and then decided to give up the time stone to save Tony.
-I really liked the one henchmen who was fighting Strange, Iron Man and Spider-man. He was super intense and scary. The other 3 were nothing special but did provide a good challenge for our heroes.
-The Hulk being too scared after getting beat down was hilarious. Also the predictions were right about Banner in the Hulk Buster.
-The Thanos relationship with Gamora was really well done and emotional accumulating in that epic scene with the soul stone. Also, Red Skull WTF!
-There was more hilarity from Rocket and body parts with the eye and commenting on getting Bucky's arm. I also liked his interactions with Thor.
-Speaking of Thor, damn did he every get powerful with that axe. Kick ass! Why didn't you go for the head though!
-Giant Peter Dinklage!
-Dammit Quill you couldn't hold your temper for 10 seconds?!?!
-That ending, what a punch in the guts. I'm still thinking of that snap of the fingers and the fallout after. You know almost everyone will come back but it is sad watching Steve Rogers see Bucky disappear after all he did to save him and Tony Stark having to deal with his greatest fear of seeing his friends die. Interesting it is the original Avengers who are left to save the others in their final movie.
-It will be a very long wait until the next one. It will be interesting to see how Hawkeye, Ant Man, and Captain Marvel will fit in.

There are plenty of other places on this forum to bash/hate on all things DC , can't we just you know stick to talk about the Avengers in the Avengers thread?
I really enjoyed this movie, the action was great, good humor and loved seeing all the characters interact. It truly felt like an event comic brought to the screen. Loved seeing the Red Skull back especially with the black robe at first I thought he was going to be Death. I don't understand why Dr. Strange didn't use the time stone to turn back time and save Tony and also not give it to Thanos.

I think when he went in the future and saw the 1 in 14 million chance, this is probably the way it had to play out.
Also I hope Red Skull makes a return sometime. Was that Hugo Weaving?
Edit: it was not

That totally makes sense. It looked to me like the infinity gauntlet got destroyed after he killed half of everyone aswell, maybe that was part of Stanges plan.

That was what I thought they were hinting at just as Strange fades away.
There was so much that happened in this movie. Honestly still filtering through everything, but I really enjoyed it. I'm glad they made Thanos more than just a purple Hulk.

That Vision death scene was amazingly done too.
You had Shuri specifically call out that misplacing even one single wire could cause Vision to die...then you have Thanos just rip the Mind Stone out of his head and you see all the wires just rip away.
IMO that movie just was paced and filmed in such a perfect way to get you to really feel how dire and helpless the situation was.
In the end I think they "killed off" 16 major characters:
Loki
Heimdall
Gamora
Vision
Star Lord
Drax
Groot
Spider-Man
Scarlett Witch
Black Panther
Falcon
Bucky
Doctor Strange
Nick Fury
Maria Hill
Mantis
Didn't think they'd actually have the guts to go that deep. My guess is many of them, if not all will somehow return by the end of A4 (I still think end game here is Tony and Captain America make the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone else) but still pretty ambitious by Marvel to pull that one off. I think that the fact that most of the really strong comedic timing actors were "dusted" means a potentially darker and more serious tone for A4.

I'm thinking that those who died from Thanos snapping his fingers get trapped in the soul stone, and that's how they come back in A4. I really hope Gamora comes back, she's a huge part of the Guardians series and would suck if she's done. I imagine Loki and Heimdall are both done which will make Thor 4 very different.....but where was Korg?
