I have seen 8 year old girls with more truculence that Johnny G. The effort from that young man is quite pathetic at times.
Put Ferland on another line and bench Monahan and Johnny for a game.

So what. Our PP is an emotional boost for the other team anyway.

I don't think gg has lost the room - they seem to like him - but the expectation that the coach will make the wrong call is being met every game

well, everyone will have an opinion; i believe that the PP is crap and Cameron should have been fired a long time ago.

not sure why they should have no confidence; GG's decision making wasn't any better during the win streak was it?

Frolik/Brodie and to a lesser degree smith made a bad play which was compounded by GG's line decision and lack of a time out...

I am not a fan of GG either...so i don't care if he stays or goes... but this game was more on the players imo

Johnny has not been consistent; he gets points in bunches. And we expect him to get points - that's the style of game he plays.

Inconsistency. You can't defend it.
9 pts in 14 games in December.

His longest pointless stretch of the season is 3 games.

He has been pointless in 17 games - has points in the other 33 games.

Not sure how that compares but doesn’t seem that bad.

Seriously blame Smith or Brodie for that?

Smith barely stopped it let alone play the puck.

okay...I love Tkachuk

but if you think he has done more to win the Flames games this year you sir are ####ing insane. JG is up there with McDavid at the top of the league in percentage of points for his team.

This team as it stands is a bubble team, exactly like last year. Except Treliving gave away our first round pick and the team isn’t noticeably better. That’s why you don’t trade for a player in a position where you are already strong at when you have desperate need in another area. Would be nice to have that first rounder. Would be nice to have players who could shoot the puck on the PP

I'm saying regardless of the coach, this team does not have enough skill upfront to be a true contender.
Head coach is responsible for the players on the ice. Let's say we give GG a pass for playing Frolik in the last 2:00, a guy that just came back from a serious injury. How do you explain him STILL on the ice after the tying goal. You can't except the coach is a moron.

Dave Cameron literally got on the radio tonight and said you just got to throw game away. He also reiterated that special teams win hockey games and you “just have to stay with your system”.

I don’t normally advocate for people losing jobs, but this guy has got to go.

Okay but they were one flub away from being 2nd in the division

They really should be better than last season

So who plays?
Other teams change things up when things aren't working..... move some people around and see if you find some chemistry.... obviously what they are doing currently is not working.

things were working fine...Calgary outplayed the top team in the division and then took a shot on their own net for some reason

They outplayed them but only scored 2 goals. Definite strategy for frustration.

This team needs to generate more high danger chances.

Wtf is Hamilton doing pinching right after the tying goal. He floated aimlessly to the centre line. His pinch was terrible too because Neal still got the puck to Marchessault. Tkachuk you could see was surprised that he was supposed to be covering the guy, he expected the defenceman to be there.

Why GG kept that forward line out there after that monumental debacle makes no sense.

Worst ending to a Flames game I've seen live for complete meltdown.

I mean it was a dumb play by Frolik but imo Brodie should shoulder some of that blame.
While we are at it wasn’t it Brodie’s fault on the winning goal too for not being on the ice?

If he was on the ice on that play he would have been ridiculed for letting the scorer get such an easy shot.

People on this board just listene to other that berate players and feel they need to jump on the bandwagon.

Brodie has not been good lately but to blame him for that atrocity is rediculous.

Great! Now how is that translating to wins for this team over the course of the season?

If you ask me, Tkachuk is the one giving the Flames more opportunities to score by giving them the most PP's any other player in the league is doing. And our PP guys are blowing it miserably.

And for the record, Tkachuk has more goals than Johnny.
