Hopefully Pelletier, Zary, Phillips, Poirier and Wolf all have a huge season.

Does anyone following the team know what the PP lines have been so far?

The first pp last night was Zary, Pelletier, Phillips, Sutter and DeSimone. Sutter was the weak link, I bet he will be replaced by either Pospisil or Schwindt later on

Pelletier looked super pumped to have scored last night (twice), clearly it was affecting him not making the team and being scoreless for first 4 games. Glad he got going

The sight lines for the broadcast from the Seattle Community Arena are giving me CIS/USPORTS vibes

I don’t know if anyone is interested in knowing this…the entire AHL posts their high resolution game photos on Flickr…usually minutes after the period ends.

I’ve used it in the past to find photo matches to gameworn Stockton jerseys, but there are some pretty good photos on there if you want to take a look.

(For road games you’ll need to look up the home teams Flickr account)

Good catch...

I just did a copy/paste for the box score from AHL.com ...

The Official Game Sheet must be off too...

You wouldn’t guess by watching this game, but the roadrunners are 5-1.

Wranglers outshooting them 30-9 after 2 periods.

And then the Wranglers proceeded to get ZERO shots in the third. I have never seen that before.

Yeah that was pretty weird. Was at the game tonight, pretty empty in there which was kind of expected with the crappy weather and roads. Interesting to see coach Sutter in a box watching with his family as well as Treliving and Conroy in another one. I wonder if they are glad the team is local now.

Took in the game last night. As alluded to by Scorp it was an odd game. Total domination by the Wranglers for two periods, then nothing.

To me, Phillips was the best player on the ice by a wide margin. Moved the puck up ice well and constantly creating in the offensive zone.

Why the Flames won't give him a legit chance is beyond me.

The struggles out the gate for the Wranglers shouldn’t be a huge surprise. There was A LOT of significant turnover from the previous season.

The “core” is more or less intact (Wolf, Pelletier, Phillips, and Zary) but they have lost 5 of their top 7 scorers from last season. (Gawdin, Froese, Philp, Kirkland, and Mackey…for now)

This is more a testament to how deep the flames are, but it’s difficult to sign/replace those fringe NHL/AAAA AHLers when they don’t see a route to the big club, and the flames don’t have the spare NHL contracts kicking around.

Unfortunately, that will likely be the case…outside of depth minor league deadline deals. I don’t see any support coming.

Watching the games, you see a big difference between the players with NHL contracts and AHL contracts.
