No surprise really. He's a Tkachuk, he wants to play at the highest level he possibly can.
Good news for Sens fans

I was sort of hoping he might find an escape route and we might be able to trade for him relatively cheaply, but that was always a bit of a pipe dream. Good on him for pursuing the best hockey he can play regardless of the circumstances. Glad he's out east.

Why not. He can be out of Ottawa the year he turns 26.

I'm sure Brady, much like Matthew did, intends on making the Sens out of camp. While the Sens might envision him playing in London this upcoming season, he's probably going to be better than a fair amount of their roster forwards. Plans change when someone forces your hand.
I don't buy into the "needing to shelter" this prospect at all. With the lineage and upbringing around the game, get him playing NHL games if he's ready.

He probably wants to get some games it at the minimum. Burn an elc year at least of he doesn't make the team full time

Since he was drafted out of the NCAA, he could also play in the AHL this season, which would give them the option of a mid/late-season call-up. If they send him to London, he's there until the Knights' season is done (which will likely be longer than Ottawa's).
