I tried out the "fat burner" workout today. I really enjoyed this one. I was dripping with sweat afterwards. Only 28 minutes long. I can't see it burning nearly as much calories as Insanity or P90X workouts. But I feel great after doing the workout.

I just did same workout. It felt great but I don't know where my heart rate strap is so can't confirm what it does to my heart rate. My muscles feel tired but I am not exhausted like I am when I do Insanity and will probably do a Insanity work out later

Has anyone with fairly bad spinal/back issues, from CP, used this? I watched the guy in the video but I'd also like to hear from someone here that has back problems and how it's worked for them. Not that the guy in the video isn't real but you all are a little closer to flesh and blood than he is.
I really need to find something for the kid but I don't want to make her situation worse either, nor drop $90 on this if it's going to cause more problems rather than help alleviate the ones already present.
Although, maybe Rudee's in-laws would be happy to get rid of their dust gatherering set.

Get advice from a professional who is familiar with your kid's condition.
However, I would be inclined to think that it can really help. You can modify the workouts so that they can be performed to the best of your capabilities. It isn't like Aurthur Boorman was going full tilt when he first started. He modified what he was doing until he could do everything with the highest level of difficulty.
Unrelated to your post, my DVDs and booklet finally showed up today. Tomorrow night, I'm going to feel the BANG! (get your minds out of the gutter).

Still waiting impatiently for mine, but I only ordered it a week and a half ago.
I just want to be able to sneak through my neighbourhood, do a full fledged heel turn, use the diamond cutter on my neighbour out of nowhere, and stand up in a office meeting and yell out "You will feel the bang!!!"and do the Diamond hand sign.

I have had to modify my routine a great deal, I can't do much standing. I will let you know how things go, I just started walking again after an almost year hiatus. My legs are extremely weak at this time.

To the bolded, I intend to, but we don't see her specialist until June. The team physio recommended yoga to us as an approved exercise routine, but called it restorative? yoga, I think it was called. I actually do kind of wish I could buy Rudee's IL's set, to show to the physio and leave it with her for a bit, to go over and determine if it's ok for her.
I am though, interested from hearing from those like Ebola, who will be doing a modified version and how that plays out, so that we can go to the next appointment as fully armed with information as we can be.

My wife is a physio, I never really asked her about this program for people with any kind of physical ailments. I'll see what she has to say, if I remember to ask her.

I ordered mine on April 22nd, or maybe April 23rd (if you want to get technical, it could have been after midnight when I placed the order). It came today, May 8.
I watched the tracking site that was emailed to me, and the big delay was in customs.

She hasn't looked much in depth into DDPYoga, but based on what I've told her she said it can certainly help a person with any type of physical ailments if done safely and properly. Like any exercise, it can hinder your kid's ailments if the exercises are not done with careful care to proper form, as well as trying to do too much. So, know your limits. Since she doesn't know your kid's actual problems she still recommends having somebody who is familiar with your kid to make a recommendation.

I takes so long because they just use US priority mail. In comparison I ordered my wife a new exercise bike on April 30 and it arrived on May 7, and that was sent via Purolater (damaged and missing a part but that is an entirely different story).

Maybe because the envelope or box says "Feel the bang".

I did the Diamond Dozen workout, which is more of a tutorial on how to do the moves than an actual workout. I was able to get my heart rate up with it and I understood that Energy was going to make me feel the BANG! Wow! It wore me out! I am struggling with remembering to keep all of my muscles engaged, I'll focus on the muscles I'm using for the movement instead of everything, but it is coming. I'm also strugging with breathing properly. I tend to hold my breath too much. Overall, after only 3 days, I'm sold. I hope I'm still sold in 3 or 4 weeks and able to keep it up.

I just got mine on Friday, my plan is to party this week, then start of Friday morning.
I've looked at daily dozen sheet that came with it, but I'm assuming that's covered on the DVD as well as the starting point.
I expect this to kick the crap out of me.

Just ordered mine based in large part on this thread. I've done p90x three times now but the most recent time kicked the crap out of my left elbow near the end of the third month, and I haven't done a helluva lot since January. Looking forward to this since the Yoga X turned out to be my favoriate workout in p90x (despite thinking that I was going to hate that freaky yoga crap).
Judging by your posts Crunch it seems like it took about 2 weeks to get yours.. does that sound right? if so, looking forward to a June start...

Two weeks is about right. I laughed when I got it with its lack of packaging, they just threw the assist sheets and DVD's into a priority bag and mailed it.

Two weeks for me too, and the poster, booklet and 2 DVDs (in small sleeves) tossed into the priority bag.
I was somewhat surprised that the DVDs still call it YRG, which is what it was originally called. Yoga for Regular Guys. It was changed to DDPYoga to take advantage of DDP's celebrity, and to expand the customer base as women were wanting to take part of the program too.
All the packaging says DDPYoga but in the videos he mentions YRG, and there is often a big YRG sign in the background.
And for the heartrate, it definitly got mine up, but I'm not entirely certain my heart rate monitor is accurate. It was pretty much in my target zone for the most part, but I would go over by about 10 bmp or so. As I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, I'm not entirely happy with my monitor anyway. I should have just bought the monitor they sell with the package, but I didn't think I would bother with it. Then I thought that I should get a monitor, but i"m not using the chest strap. Well, now that I have one, I'm not happy with having to press and hold the watch for a few seconds to find my reading. I want one that continually monitors my heartrate like they one they show in the videos.
