NHL 14 Rosters

Before I run off and purchase the new NHL game, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it's a worthy buy? I have NHL13, is '14 an upgrade or the usual "re-purchase"?

I'm especially interested to know if there are any good Flames prospects that are missing on the rosters. I hate watching a good player grow and then not being able to add them to my team.

missing players are the college kids and marcus granlund. as far as i know thats it..

I haven't been playing much due to Grand Theft Auto but it's an awesome game...

The lack of the college kids is annoying. Anyone know if there's plan to patch them in? Or is there some legal reason they can't be included?

I am certain I read somewhere that they can't be included because it would kill their college eligibility. Isn't this one of the major issues that the "All Players United" movement wants to address?

College players have never been in the game, and don't think that changes until EA gets a deal in place with the NCAA (like they do with the other leagues in the game such as the CHL, AHL, and euro leagues).

I don't see it happening soon. You can offset this by creating the college players and signing them in BeAGM.

The game is much more fun that the previous iteration, in my opinion. i am loving playing online HUT, at least for now, the online play is still fun and not everyone cheesing their way to goals.

I haven't checked the recent roster updates (if any) but for the flames, they key missing players were ortio and granlund.

I don't even think EA can use real college football players in their NCAA series - just the teams.

Never thought about creating them... good call.

The best roster update right now would be one that has Kipper as retired... couldn't trade him anywhere, and nobody picked him up on waivers either.

i just leave kipper on hte bench in the ahl.

btw, seems ortio is available with the heat in the latest roster update.
