online GM sounds fun...almost like fantasy hockey. since it's be a GM i'd hope they only allow you to simulate games against other players instead of having it almost like versus mode

Okay, GM Connected is going to be amazing. Let us begin lining up 30 people who will commit to playing this mode extensively.

At this point, I'd prefer two separate games.

NHL 13 and NHLGM 13.

I'd buy both.

Well that's unfortunate, I was hoping for a first hand account of how it plays.

I'm trying to phrase my excitement without using an F (or even a C) bomb. I've been waiting for an online GM mode for literally 11 years. First summer out of high school my buddies rented a house and we would have full seasons against each other. They would take months to complete, but when your only responsibilities in life was stacking produce and ordering pizza for dinner it was totally doable. The fact that we might be able to recreated that somewhat is insanely exciting for me.

To top it off, I loved the CP team we had a few years ago, but found I just didn't like the mode. The idea of doing a league with some of you losers again is awesome. Who's starting the signup thread?

We're still months away from release so it's early, but we can gather early interest for Connected GM by a sign up thread in the Playing with Fire section. Closer to release we can make a new thread for those who will fully commit.

sounds like it might be a nightmare to be a goalie.....that deke at the end would counter the poke check so well

Well, there needs to be something to counter the poke check. It's too powerful.

for goalies? it's already one of the few things that a human goalie can do on breakaways to force the shooter to do something they might not want to do

You know what I miss. In the late 90's game you'd be doing a playoff tree and during stoppages you'd see highlights of other playoff games. It just added a ton of realism to the game.
