Because they bought Clearnet 20ish years ago, and that was their thing, and Telus's adverting department must have had zero creative ideas since then. So their rolling with an idea that wasn't even theirs.

I'm hating every commercial for hair/beard coloring for men.
you know the ones. where you're an old, unemployable, unattractive loser if you have grey hair.

Did anyone mention it yet? The Gord Miller + Cassie Sobey's commercials are horrible. They are bad not because of the cheesiness, but the bad acting. They don't even look like their eyes are watching the camera at any time and the commercial director didn't even bother to do a 2nd take.

I'll watch that commercial during the entire break if it means they stop playing the stupid Skipthedishes commercials with that moron guy.

I like those Skip commercials. But then again, I'm a Jon Hamm fan.
The one I currently cant stand is the ###### on the Poker Stars commercial in the flannel shirt and greasy beard who goes all in with a stack of chips with a 7 and a 2.
Wow, yeah, great, you lied and your buddies bit. Big ######ing deal.
And he's greasy AND douchy.

Not to mention - they are not in the same room together. Their takes were done separately.

As bad as that one is, it's not as bad as the one featuring the girl flying in helicopters, turning her head quickly and pointing at stuff. Just awful.

It reminds me of a company I worked for. When I started they showed me this video of all the amazing things they do around the world, and how cool everything was. I admit that I totally fell for it, and thought to myself "wow, it would be so awesome to do those things and work on those projects!" Of course though, you don't actually do any of that cool stuff. You just sit in your cube here in Calgary while other people get to do and see all that.

Not exactly a commercial that I can't stand but the new Ford Edge commercial has a major oversight towards the end. A lot of people probably won't notice the detail but when the instrument display is shown it shows that the fuel level is a bit more than 7/8 full but the vehicle only has a range of 280km. That is abysmal fuel economy. Fuel economy is such a huge selling feature now that I would assume the advertising guys would have noticed that and "fudged" the display to make it more attractive to the consumer.

It was probably originally an American commercial and they changed "miles" to "km" without changing the numbers.
