You wouldn't trade Brodie for a 20 goal 60 point scoring 19 year old rookie? He would have been tied him for first on the Flames in scoring last year.
What the hell man.

Gaudreau would have got 80 points playing on that team last season as they have no commitment to team defense. The Leafs are a train wreck defensively but have a good goaltender and can score themselves out of trouble a lot of nights. Plenty of offensive players on that team are going to look a lot better than they would be on a more structured team. Don't get me wrong as I like the player but on the Flames (and a lot of other teams) he would be a 50 point player at best so it's no slam dunk the Flames are better minus Brody and plus another small forward that's not going to put up elite scoring numbers on this team.

I know most of you would probably disagree with me, but I would trade Dougie Hamilton for a top line RW. You have to give to get.

After watching AC's Gaudreau video, its pretty apparent he has incredible chemistry with Hayes. Thoughts as to what it would take to pry him away from the Rangers?

Brodie is a great OFD that struggles in his own zone and is prone to a couple of brainfarts every game. I think he I'd a solid #3d who is also heavily overrated by flames fans. Plain and simple we aren't scoring enough and I'd jump at the chance to trade him for Marner. It also helps that we have Valimaki and Kylington coming up on the left side.

Brodie is an OFD with little to no real offensive instincts whatsoever.

Well it's my opinion. He has no clue on how to operate the pp point, no idea on when to shoot. His only asset offensively is his skating ability.

From what I have seen of him this year, he seems to be playing with more confidence and ability to take risks. I think his stick handling and maneuverability, and first pass is exceptional, and would be impossible to replace...especially at the amount we are paying him.

Brodie isn't exactly playig with Ovechkin, Kucherov, Stamkos, Malkin, or Tarasenko on their offwings. Our PP's struggles have plenty do with the personel at forwards. Saying he has no offensive instincts is absurd...he was the third best ES offensive point producer just two years ago and has his share of points this year (in fact... more than Marner... ). He may need to shoot a bit more but he has vision that most of us viewers can't comprehend, sometimes he is seeing things that don't quite develop as they should.

I don't disagree as this probably is the realistic acquisition cost, but I believe Dougie will be the guy to take over Gios role when the time comes.

Oilers unhappy with Strome? Wow, who could've called that?

some Friedman rumors/speculation:
https://www.fanragsports.com/friedma...al-around-nhl/
Quote:
“I do think that Peter Chiarelli has a lot of balls in the air. He sent out an email, as Chris Johnston the other day reported, about Jussi Jokinen being available. I think they’re figuring out what they’re going to do with Puljujarvi and I wonder if he gets a call-up to try to jump-start their offense. I think he’s a guy who is willing to try a few different things to see what’s out there.
“I think the Rangers be will an interesting one. I think they’re an organization that is willing to tear – I don’t know if tear it down is the right word, but they want to add prospects. They’re really excited about the two guys they drafted last year in the first round. Chytil, the one in the American Hockey League, looks really good. They’ve got a goalie in Russia who they’re really excited about. I think they look at it like, ‘We need to add young pieces.’
“So I think the Rangers are going to be fascinating to watch between now and the end of the season. I think at some point in time Nash will be traded. And I think they’re going to have a lot of questions about a guy like Kreider.
“So I look at the Rangers and I see a team that – I don’t know if they’re ready to do it yet, but I do think they’re a team that’s ready to do some interesting things in order to restock and sort of rebuild themselves because they went for it the last couple of years and they used up a lot of their tickets to do it.”
