Not really. All of those kids came back into the D-zone. Plus, not a single cross-over to be seen.

I'd hope the murder dungeon, at least, has a few splashes of colour!

Spector pushing for Baghdad stauffers job by going full 50%.

Oilers do not have better special teams. They have a statistically more effective power play. Flames have the #1 statistically ranked Pk in the league with Oilers at #7.

“Everyone knows” is not numerically based.

Also, you can almost see the mountains from the Mavi balcony Covid bubble picture.

20 of Johnny’s 23 points coming at even strength is pretty crazy

Oh snap.

McDavid's stats are always slightly inflated simply because he plays more than any forward.

I'd argue Draisaitl might be the best Oiler this year. Certainly better than McD at 5 on 5.

HDCF% at even strength:

Draisaitl 43.85%
McDavid 53.29%
Gaudreau 56.64%

HDGF% at even strength:

Drasaitl 76.47% 13 for and 4 against
McDavid 73.68% 15 for and 5 against
Gaudreau 75% 9 for 3 against

All 3 players have been on the ice for similar high danger goals against but McDavid and Drasaitl have been on the ice for 71 and 73 high dangers chances against to Johnnys 49. They should have more goalies against with that goaltending and it’s all a matter of time before they have some bad luck for their goalies

It’s even better watching the highlight from the Dallas broadcast, as they are talking about how good the Flames are!!!

Because we all know the Coilers are definitely not playing way outside their average numbers or even career bests. Of course for coiler fans, their team is always going to get even better, no matter how above the mean any one player might be, and every other teams players that are having season years will revert to the mean and cannot maintain that performance.

Oilers Fans: McDavid is such a team player! My proof is that some other player on the team passed to someone else instead of padding stats!

One of my personal favorites. Looking it up, Mike Smith had a great playoff run, 10 seasons ago in Arizona. In the 9 years since, doing some quick math, Smith is 1 and 9 in the playoffs, with 3.4 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Truly elite, I will weep that we can't have him between the pipes for the playoffs.

Ladies and gentlemen, Coiler Fans
And that one win of Smiths in the playoffs…. was with the Flames!!! LMAO!!

Edmonton colour commentary with 1 minute left in the 3rd period with a 4-3 lead over the Coyotes:

“Goalie has made some fantastic saves in this game otherwise it would have been a 5-7 goal lead for Edmonton, but it’s only a one goal with a minute left”.

yah I caught that- I didn't watch the game until the last 5 minutes so cannot really comment- I see the Oilers had a lot of shots, but was it a 10 goal performance?

Not even close. They barely squeaked it out. Against possibly the worst team in the league.
