Anyone know if McDavid has a swimming pool in his house? Or a diving board?

No worries, but January McDavid will be back in full Meth-head Zombie Tweaker regalia.

Absolutely. Game is over and he’s just thinking about keeping his points streak alive. Even does the aggressive beaver tap of his stick with 20 seconds left because he so badly doesn’t want his point steak to end. What a jerk.

Meanwhile, our boy Lucic is avoiding touching a puck so that a teammate can get credit for the goal.

Yup. This wasn’t a tie game, with him using a play of Chucky’s playbook to draw a late penalty and win the game. One Coiler fans would hail the gamesmanship of the century.

Nope it was for a personal stat pad.

Guess its fitting for a guy who was awarded best player in the game before he stepped into the NHL.

Oh and his house is very expensive soulless and characterless box. It fits him well.

McDavid with the Alexandre Despatie hat trick tonight: 0 goals, 0 assists, and an epic dive.

The Oilers are and have been trying so hard at the executive level to do whatever it takes to promote McDavid, holding networks to task to promote him so as not to let a top player slip out of the Canadian media market like Crosby did. For the Oilers it’s about a top on ice player staying on their team, and the yarn they are spinning to the media to achieve that is to keep a Canadian star in Canada for the good of a higher meaning in the hockey world and business community in Canada.

Great hockey player but Crosby comes across as having the personality of a celery stick, so if he played for the Sens, it’s not like we as Canadian fans missed out on some sort of home country kid we would all get behind, like the oilers are going to great lengths to convince Canadians to get behind McDavid like Lowe saw with Gretzky in the 80s. The Oilers are hoping that antiquated way of thinking to keep McDavid as a star in Canada will mean something, but the way McDavid is acting, knowing he can’t do any wrong within the organization or the media work in Canada…or else, he’s not going to be endearing himself to any sort of folksy Canadiana marketing scheme. And, all his commercials are for the same somewhat despised media company.

To a lesser extent on ice wise, it’s the same entitlement Hall was given in Edmonton, which is why he became a jerk to Eakins and needed to be dealt.

As an aside, the house is clearly a resume builder for the girlfriend to keep her busy and off his back. If he was serious about designing and living in his own $6M house, and the things he wanted, the afterthought of a tacked on, small sport court wouldn’t have been a last minute addition by him when he realized he had nowhere to really hang out in his own house.

Some “super fan” will buy that house in Edmonton at some point even if there were feces covering the walls, so he’s not losing out by potential buyers with the abstract design elements by an amateur interior designer who uses Crate and Barrel and Pinterest as inspiration.

It’s that time of year again where the top line winger musical chairs begins.

Should we play the big fish we gave a $5.5M x 7Y the spot on the top line or the preseason scoring leader that has 0G & 0A through his 12 games?

I see their next game is against the coyotes wednesday night. Cup parade will be back on in dumpsterville after Mcgoldenboy and the german deutsche come out of that one with a couple points each. And the edmonton media will praise the grit of the oilers for winning a back-to-back (ignoring who it is against of course).

Its that time of year where the already weak supporting cast slows down / competition level of games gets higher and McDavid and Draisaitl have to do 98% of the work to get wins as opposed to the 85% in the first month when the team is fresh off its offseason buzz and the good teams haven't yet found their footing. Their drive from night to night starts waning a bit as they've been played 20-25 minutes a night. Hence, losses.

It's almost like we've seen this movie before 6 or 7 times..

Anyone catch the Oilers vs Flames segment on SN between Francis and Spector?

It's funny hearing Spector basically saying what everyone says.........the Oilers have the two best players, better special teams. Flames have better goaltending, better defense, better depth. Francis was right to say the Flames would take a playoff series right now. Might even be a quick one, imo. If you want to rely on just two players (neither one a goalie) taking you far in the playoffs..........go for it.
