That red bus is way wrong. Not even crossing the centre line, but on the far side of the other bus. I would assume a medical emergency would look more erratic, but it looks like the red bus was driving straight down the opposite sidewalk. I hope we find out what happened.

My face is a bum!

Speaking of bad bus drivers, I had one pass me while I was on my bike in the East Village (no problems with that) but then ran out of room to make their pass and decided to squeeze back over while I was still beside them.
It really irks me when a professional driver who operates something that big screws around with someone they could easily kill. Hitting my brakes full on was the only way I avoided getting side swiped by the bus.
I'm still upset I didn't grab a photo of the her plate or identifier on the front at her next stop.

All the buses have GPS - if you call with the location and route number, they can probably track it down. Especially if you know the driver was a female, it narrows it down a lot.

Vehicle number (4 digits) helps a lot too.

I feel like the change of transit schedule season wasn’t announced. At all.

Calgary Public Transit - Discussion
Is the long pause while taking the train NB to City Hall, at the new library site, going to be a permanent thing? I guess it has been going on for the last few years but that delay is starting to wear on my sanity. Plus it’s awkward, because I can’t surf on my phone because there is no cell reception....

Waiting for right-of-way onto 7th Avenue has been a thing since the NE line was built? Cell reception is likely worse now that they have a lot of extra concrete there. Contact CT and see if there are any plans for cellular repeaters in said tunnel. Or better yet, wifi service on the train.

Weird. I guess with the library tunnel the wait just feels longer. Still, it seems like a long wait just for the NE trains to clear out of the way.
Hmm... talking to people on the train. I was kind of curious what the guy who was flailing around on the floor of the train and giggling was so giddy about this morning. I could converse with some of the “regulars”. Maybe get some kind of Train 48 thing going. Acquire a transit spouse or something.

It depends on the timing the train gets. Sometimes we get the signal and the right timing with the street light and can roll right in to City Hall. Others we have to wait a bit, usually not more than a minute or two. However, it is possible that if a train in front has a door issue or a passenger emergency at City Hall, you could be waiting longer.
Really though, it is a first world problem

New BRT Routes
Three of the new BRT routes come into service this fall - the South Crosstown, North Crosstown and 17th Ave. SE.
The SW BRT route comes into service in 2019.
There are new stops and shelters for most of the stops along the new routes.

Some of those transfer stations are a little questionable. SAIT, you literally have to walk across the entire campus.

One thing that bugs me about the new BRT stops is that they spent all this time and money putting them in, but they didn't build them with pullouts, so the bus will be tying up a lane of traffic every time they stop.

It's possible that they did this deliberately so that the buses can immediately get back into the flow of traffic.

Also, the slower traffic moves, the more attractive transit is as an option.

This is already costing a lot. Imagine the costs with pullouts on each stop? I'm guessing this is also a factor.
