Possibly. They’re currently only 6 points out of the playoff spot but a lot of teams to jump
For example TFC last year just left themselves too large a hole in the first half of the season that by the time the Italians joined they couldn’t make up the gap and leapfrog enough teams. The next few weeks will be crucial for Miami to not have a larger gap to overcome. The larger problem perhaps is both NY teams are also sitting outside the playoff spot and those can probably be expected to be playoff teams at the end of the year.

You can thank Apple and Adidas for stepping and likely offering a much better deal long-term, rather than what Saudi Arabia was offering for only 2-3 years.

The announcers in this west ham fiorentina feel like I watching keys and grey in the 90s
Basically calling out the evil italian team who are diving and making a meal of every foul, versus the brave english hammers who arent

I do think messi will do really well, attacking players have mostly fared pretty well when signing their retirement contract in mls
Keane, giovinco, zlatan, henry etc.
The level of defense will be so much lower than hes used too

Wow, I never thought he'd pick MLS over his Saudi Overlords.
Not quite ready to sell his soul yet?
I didnt think anyone in MLS would have had 'Messi Money.'
Knowing Messi though its probably because Miami is close enough to the Bahamas that he's probably 'off-shoring' his earnings. Again.

The Saudis are probably still paying him to promote a WC 2030 campaign.

I still wish Messi would have tried his hand in England or Italy at least once.
His World Cup win solidifies him as a GOAT.
But really I would have liked to see him on a squad that wasn't PSG or Barcelona...especially since he really wasn't that great for PSG.

That club is in shambles, they can barely afford to pay the players they have now.
Like I said, I'm surprised Messi chose MLS, I'm more surprised that somehow MLS managed to cobble together a more lucrative deal than the Saudis.
I dont know what financial nonsense is going on here, but it'll be interesting to see as time goes on.
Because lets be honest, Messi isnt doing this for the beaches or the Miami nightlife, he's in this for the money. How MLS somehow outbid the Saudis? I'd love to know.
But he knows he's only got a couple of kicks at this can left.
