Watched The Tomorrow War. It's bad, basically sharknado without the self awareness.

My eyes might be going but the posters almost look like they’re trying to pass off Chris Pratt as Tom Cruise. For a few moments I thought it was a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow.

I went into Tomorrow War with low expectations and thought it was fine as a popcorn movie. Enjoyed it for the most part.

Yep. Within ten minutes I knew I liked to concept, but I had to switch my brain off for the "sci" in this installation of the genre.

It's a very entertaining movie but it's not very good. Worth watching once and I'm glad it was "free".

It’s 2021 and we are still trying to make sense of time travel movies?

Spoiler alert … they are all flawed.

Yeah, but there's a difference between not making sense and being poorly written and poorly acted. Edge of Tomorrow was basically the better version of the same movie, no?

Apart from action and aliens I don't really see them as all that similar. In spite of the time travel elements I would compare it more to Starship Troopers.

However, both of the other films were the superior products.

I guess that's where i was going with the Sharknado comment, it's so bad it's almost a parody of Edge of Tomorrow, Starship Troopers, Alien, Cloverfield, War of the Worlds.... But unlike Sharknado they don't realize they are in a parody, so we are lacking some of the fun that can come from a parody film, and all we are left with is a bad film.

If anyone is interested in a 'similar' time travel/loop type movie that does not take itself seriously (and I really enjoyed) try Boss Level.

Tomorrow War was a good way to kill a couple sleepless hours. Would not watch a second time.

I didn't mind Tomorrow War... I've been frustrated a whole lot more with other movies than this one.

I watched the Pitch Meeting for Tomorrow War. That was good enough.

The problem with tomorrow war is it didn’t do anything interesting with the time loops.

The day after tomorrow had them progressing a little forward each loop which was cool. Looper has the classic actions of the pas create the loop to ensure what occurs in the future happens. Instead this was just bad starship troopers.

Really to enjoy the tomorrow war you have to ignore the time travel all together, its almost like they had a great idea but didn't want to get into the intricacies of the continuity of time travel so just said screw it.

I guess we'll finally resolve the question of how you pronounce Nynaeve.
