That draft is brutal, the Flames actually took a homerun swing, and picked a guy who will likely have a decent NHL career.

Decent NHL player is mid first round coming out of that draft.
It would have been a great pick if the guy had ever found any mojo to go along with his talent.

Interesting to see the top 2 rookies in plus/minus are Zary and Pospisil, who are both +13.

By my count only about 43 full time NHLs left from that draft.

If he can keep bouncing back every other season, and we wait 5-6 years, maybe Feaster will prove prophetic and Jankowski will be the best player in the NHL from that draft for a time.
He's only ~30P behind Yak.

Top 4 in 2012 are probably: Forsberg, Rielly, H. Lindholm, Hertl/Slavin.

For 2012 I’d say:
1. Vasilevsky
2. Hellebuyck
3. Forsberg
4. Slavin

Yes, if you don’t count goalies. Vasilevskiy is there.

I always remember because he was one of 4 good players skipped over by Feaster when he moved spots to get Colborne. The others IIRC were Teravainen, Wilson and Hertl.
