Don't OPEC countries have a bunch of extra production they are voluntarily keeping offline?

They have maybe 1MBPD that they could add back, mostly from Saudi, but Venezuela and others have lost production that can't be recovered easily. Between Russia and Saudi there is probably 1.25-1.5MBPD that could be put back into the market.

Oil is over $70. Why can't I get excited about double meat? It should be a double meat party, but...ugh..,it doesn't feel right to celebrate.

It is being tempered by not being able to afford the gas to get to Subway.

I don't know about individual companies but we're doing a hell of a lot better at this price. Differential has narrowed and natural gas was free on Friday.

Still a struggle for us (service side). Our U.S. division is doing slightly better but the Canadian side is still battling low activity levels, low prices for services, and increasing costs. Any increase in oil drilling has largely been negated by a reduction in gas drilling in Canada.

That would require a delivery mechanism, and we can't have those apparently.

Makes sense. USGC is much closer to the EU while Asia is our target market for the same reason. Still need a damn plant though.

There is talk of building an export terminal in Quebec that plans to use western Canadian gas, involve new pipeline construction in Quebec yet somehow not have to meet the same environmental test as Energy East did.
But yes, we are going to miss the boat so to speak on this opportunity as well I would think. (Europe).

Not sure where the best place for this is, as it is pipeline related...
Quote:
A ruling is expected Aug. 10. If the city's injunction doesn't go through, Cory Morgan, a Priddis, Alta., libertarian blogger, and members of a Facebook group called "Citizens committee to evict Camp Cloud" plan on travelling to Burnaby around Aug. 18 to clean up the camp, anyway. Morgan sees Camp Cloud as a small but vocal symbol of opposition to the pipeline — and the inability of the government to legally remove it as a sign of weakness to potential investors in the Canadian oil industry.
Morgan shied away from using the term "vigilante" to describe the group, instead referring to them as an "irregular law enforcement group."
