With all recent hubbub about the Kinks reuniting and recording a new album, I remembered that Darren Hayman (of Hefner fame) performed a charming cover of Come Dancing a few years ago.

Yeah, I posted them earlier in the thread, but one of my first downloads when I got Spotify, people that drive with me give me a funny look when one of their covers starts playing but the consensus at the end is that they're awesome

just started working my way backwards through the thread.
I'll finish as to avoid duplication going forward.

I'd also have posted some stuff from "Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies", but I'm assuming everyone has heard them multiple times before.

I would rank Sweet Jane by the Cowboy Junkies as the best cover ever.

this one is in my personal top 5.

by the Rheostatics, from Mellville, released in 1991.
Most of you will know of Dave Bidini, who was a founding member.

Picked up a 2016 album from Britta Phillips in the discount bin while I was in Saskatoon. Found this great cover on it:

The original drive was one of those songs that just created really strong emotions, it was an amazingly appointment song, I was a big Cars fan, they were talented and weird, but Drive came out of left field and socked you right in the feels.

Found another one by these guys. Amazing, and this is a hard song to cover clean, particularly live.
