Great actors with a subpar script.

They have two episodes to put a bow on it.

Just finished season 1 of Foundation. The finale was outstanding and rewarded my patience in the slow developing story. The genetic dynasty of the Empire is one of those great ideas that good Sci-Fi can deliver. Brother Day is a great performance. I will definitely watch season two. I believe the series departs greatly from the novels?

Yeah, it's not really worth thinking about in the context of the novels. The genetic dynasty was created for the tv series as a solution to the problem of having a story that is told over the sort of scale that is beyond the lifetimes of any character. The series invents different devices to keep characters around from one season to the next. One way of thinking about the novel is that it's about how ideas persist (and are in fact inevitable) in predictable ways regardless of the individuals, which essentially makes it unfilmable as-is. Critics will say that the series turns this message on its head. I don't think you can really argue with that, and instead just watch the show as something that tells a good story on an epic scale.

And for what its worth, I think most fans of the show share your opinion that the genetic dynasty is the best part of the show (and by a wide margin in season 1), but in the second season other elements of the show hold their own better as well.

Special Ops: Lioness

First 2 eps of season 2 are rad, and Zoe Saldana is so very hot.

I love the show, I love the premise, but there's two things that bother me.

1. The uncontrollable rage some of the main leads seem to have - it's distracting
2. Taylor Sheridan's TRT infused 54 year old body.

Yeah. I'm with you on point 1.
No reason for Saldana's character to go so over the top in a couple of those meetings. It was bizarre, and completely unnecessary. Written as if it requires an out of control female to assert her authority.
But yeah. Great show.

What a ride right? I cant even imagine watching that show week-to-week or dealing with production breaks between seasons and having to wait.

Its like main-lining beautiful decadent violence and insanity.

I cant even imagine being the guy who was pitched this show and thought..."yeah, that sounds good to me. Go for it."

Its like a symphony of madness. I love it so much.

The Penguin is stellar. Just a great mob crime drama. Performances are top notch all the way around.

Somebody may have said this already (only read last couple of pages of this topic) but From is an excellent horror series. I have paramount plus so I get it there. Creepy as hell, keeps you guessing. Really well done.
And I second Lioness being good. Besides Yellowstone a new Sheridan show called Landman comes out soon. About west Texas oil boom?

I'm watching 'The Detour' but I only just started.

Thus far it is hilarious!

I am trying to get into Peaky Blinders, but can't see the appeal

I am only 3 episodes in, but does it get significantly better?

I didn't think it did.

I watched until the end of season 3, think. I found it to be pretty consistent - so if you aren't loving it, it won't change much

It actually hit me at the end of Season 1 when
Spoiler!
.

The first 2 seasons of The Bear are kinda interesting but Season 3 bullet trained right into “smelling your own farts” territory.

God damn that was a hot mess. You still need a storyline… 6 hrs of extreme close up zoom ins of main characters isn’t enough… just awful.

It's such a great show. I just recently watched the entire 3 seasons while I was recovering from surgery, and highly enjoyed it.Now I have to wait until who knows when for Season 4.
