Soooooo they're going to try and out-smash Canuck fans by smashing one car?

Oof. This truthfully hurts a bit as a fan. I was really excited about the playoffs this year, it was the first time in a very long time where I had a feeling of optimism about a franchise that I really love as it has been part of my life since I can remember cheering for any team. In a couple of days those feelings of hopefulness and potential have been extinguished.

Injuries happen but Demko has been such a huge part of the revival for this team that this just feels like a massive let down. While this may not be the most disappointing thing to happen to this franchise it is the most disappointing thing in recent memory, especially with how acute of a change it was. In three days it has gone from a team that just won the first game and with optimism to a disheartening feeling of knowing that fortune isn't going to do them any favours.

That's a tough break. Demko to me could be in the MVP conversation because the Canucks are far better with him in net.

That was a nothing play. If he tweaked it on that play then that is extremely not good. Holds to what I was told that his knee is buggered. Damn.

Heard on the radio (Kevin Woodley?) it happened on a nothing play after Van had already scored the ENG to ice it. A NSH player just casually flipped a backhand in on Demko and he wrecked his knee just deflecting it to the corner with his pad (in the butterfly of course). Tocchet was trying to say it's not the same injury he had before, radio dude thinks that's "partly true." Says it's most likely a different part of the knee that was overworked (somewhat) in the rehab process.

Crazy, man.

Trying to find a youtube clip of it, but no luck so far.

Edit: I like Demko, I'm pulling for him. Liked him since he was BC's goalie when Johnny was killing it down there.

TMZ Frank is saying he could be back for round 2 if they make it.

Seems like whatever it is, its all over the map. Might not matter anyways if the Canucks continue putting up 10 shots on net.

Aww this is such a sad tale. Hahaha who am I kidding.

Before this season the Canucks have made the playoffs ONCE in 9 years.

That was 2020.

The Canucks are in the playoffs this season, won game 1 and the series is tied 1-1.

You come on a Flames forum to cry about how its over? Your team is finally in the playoffs. The series is tied 1-1. Get a grip.

Just another example of why Canucks fans are no good.

Kind of crappy for Canucks fans tonight...a playoff game starting a 4:30 local because NHL TV scheduling and having 3 western conference series going tonight.
