Default Difference between DVI-A and DVI-I Adapters

hey guys,

I'm just wondering what the difference is between a 24-pin DVI-I to VGA adapter and a 12-pin DVI-A to VGA adapter? I have the 8800 GT video card and i need an adapter to be able to use my 19'' samsung lcd monitor. Is there any difference? they both fit my video card so are there pros/cons to using either the 24 or the 12 pin adapter?

Thanks in advance

If they are both going to VGA, then nothing.
