The Toronto Players are in Calgary, and the Ottawaw players are likely in Detroit (Next game is there tomorrow), The traded players have to get to the airport, fly four hours, go through customs, etc, and get to the dome. They likely don't get to the rink until late this afternoon at the earliest.

There are no non-stop commercial flights from Detroit to Calgary. Would they charter a corporate jet? Anyone know what they typically do in these situations?

Leafs sent their private plane to pick up Babcock to announce his signing.

Pretty sure they will do the same for these players.

Is there possibilities of having to recall some players from the AHL for this game?

More than four hours. There are no direct commercial flights between Calgary and Detroit and I very much doubt a charter could be arranged at this point. They have to go through... Toronto.

Wasn't Corrado supposed to be the God amongst mortals in the Canucks organization? What happened to him?

Watch as the Flames make these guys look like a all-star defense core.

Johnny and Sammy should have a field day today.

Ottawa was at home last night, so perhaps they haven't left for Detroit yet?

Tried to sneak him through waivers in September and it didn't work.

Now over halfway through the season they've waived Weber, and Bartkowski has been bad enough to warrant a demotion as well. I bet they'd like a do-over

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Practice starts. No Jonas Hiller on the ice. A shooter tutor is taking the place of the starter's net. #Flames

Curious to see how these two teams come out of the gate tonight.

I would assume that Calgary is coming out hard after their practice yesterday, and Hartley coming off the ice like that. They better anyways - I would figure they have to make up for it somehow.

Just as interesting to see how Toronto comes out. Their captain just got traded. Aside from the 'Phaneuf sucks, so it is an improvement' jokes aside, one has to think of this trade as 'tanking', at least if you are the players in TO. Wonder if they come out strong after a 'shakeup' like this, or if they have already rolled over and died as soon as the trade was announced.

All things point towards the Flames having multi-players with multi-point games tonight, which is great, since I believe the TO fans are just as bad as the Vancouver fans at the Dome.

Not sure what they liked in him, as I'm unsure what Toronto sees in him either. I just recall at the Young Stars tourney a few years back him taking a cheap shot at Johnny's head with his elbow.

Bernier passes Hiller in the hallway, going to their new teams dressing rooms. Note pinned to Bernier's jersey reads, 'Ottawa 2nd, 2017'. Note pinned to Hillers just says, 'Raymond'.
