I'm not opposed to bringing back Versteeg again.

Calling Chia and taunting him, that he missed out on Hamilton again.

I think they get Grabner, even though 7 of his 27 goals are empty net goals. He is pretty decent on the PK, and when protecting a lead. Also pretty good at scoring/getting sprung on breakaways. As a side note it all depends on the right price as he had a shooting percentage of over 16%(over 19% with the Rags).

JVR had the Flames on the no trade list so doubt he signs with Calgary as a free agent.

Wouldn’t count on it, as usual the Sharks are right there scooping up the best players available. Lots of smoke around Pacioretty to SJ.

Wish these California teams would just bugger off already.

Would be a very solid top 9.

Id even take the risk and offer our first for next year to make that happen. We are not rebuilding and our core is already set. Odds are that lineup would make for a late 1st next year anyway.

Not terrible idea. Would still like someone like Reeves for this soft line up.

Slotting Bennett above Jankowski is just insane. Jankowski is just a better player in almost every way. The only edge Bennett has is in the grit department but that gets Bennett in trouble on many occasions.

Bennett is faster, more physical, better passer(Janko doesnt pass often, or enough), and I believe has the higher IQ.

Janko is the better shooter, better defensively position wise(Bennett is the better at battles and is a beast in the corners), Janko has better range.

In all honesty they are close, but Bennett has far more room to grow. Have to remember that Janko is more then two years older, when all is said and done Bennett will be the better player.

I guess Tom Wilson will probably be re-signed in Washington now that Brooks Orpik's cap hit has been removed. Too bad as he would be a great addition to the Flames and fill an obvious need.

I wonder if they also look into Bozak as well as Ryan.

Just a crap ton of depth if they did that, especially at center (play guys on the wing, "can't have too many centers"), plus they'd be fixing to be one of the best face off teams in the league with the additions of Lindholm, Bozak and Ryan (all legitimate 55% guys the last two seasons).

Peters stated when he was hired that face offs were the first 50/50 battle, and you need to win more than you lose.

Also, both Ryan and Bozak are 32 years old, but that's not an issue of you can keep the term short. Have to remember that our core is ridiculously young. Gaudreau (24), Monahan (23), Lindholm (23), Tkachuk (20), Bennett (22), Janko (24) and over the next couple season we should have the likes of Mangiapane (21), Dube (20), Foo (24) breaking onto the roster full time.

What about Lindholm’s cousin?? Järnkrok currently has 4 years remaining at 2 mill per and is a solid 15/15 30 point center/winger who is a RH shot. He’ll be 27 at the start of the next season and could be a great add to the 3rd line while being able to move up and down the lineup and is known to penalty kill from time to time.

Frolik 15% retained for Järnkrok ? Do we have to add a prospect ?

Sign Lindholm and Hanifin. Should be interesting what both players get and how long.

Hopefully trade Brodie and Brouwer.
At min ship Brouwer to the AHL is a must. Stripping him of his unearned A equally is as important.
They want to change the culture and mindset for cripes sakes start right there.

Signing anyone as an FA of great significance by Treliving I doubt will occur.
