Tkachuk has scored 8 and 31, and was fourth in scoring at BU this past season.

I fully expect Tkachuk to play his sophomore year in the NCAA.
Yeah for sure. But by all accounts hes bigger and a better skater than Matt was when he was drafted. Wouldnt shock me. We'll see i guess

As much as the pairing of the Tkachuk brothers on one NHL team would cataclysmically unleash the Kraken, it probably won't happen any time soon.

My guess is Brady Tkachuk plays for the London Knights this year.

He is not as offensively gifted as Matthew Tkachuk, but I suppose this could potentially ease his transition into a bottom-six role to start.

I predict at least one Flames trade this weekend but no blockbusters.

Treliving says something like “you call a lot of people, you get a lot of calls, but ultimately the prices dictated we couldn’t consummate a transaction tonight.”

As much as it important to move Hamilton out and get on with a realistic rebuild it will be hard to make a trade. The value of the players on a team from the bottom 3rd of the NHL that was a cap team will be undervalued.

When other teams look at the Flames they think they are picking over the bones and figure that anyone they get from the Flames will be a reclamation project.

Flames will not be able to win a trade in the current situation.

They will not get a UFA unless they outbid for them and the UFA does not have realistic options in a better situation.

Much better to stand pat and see if it was all coaches fault.

I don't believe that any team that traded for the likes of Hamilton, Johnny, Monny, Gio etc. would feel that they were picking over the bones and getting a reclamation project.

Bad teams trade good players all the time and do just fine in trade value.

Good list.... None on the list has been an important player in a playoff run or been an important player on top-8 regular season team.

While it may not be picking over the bones , none of the Flames are players that other teams will pay a premium as the guy to get them to the next level.

To me it highlights how bad the Flames did getting a player from the Islanders (2016-17) who were a bubble team who was a project (coming off a career worst season) and paying like he was a SC hero. Somehow they were convinced that Hamonic was a a player to take them to the next level right after he was not able to do that with the Islanders.
