I prefer Vancouver’s skill-first approach.
Vegas is structured (with skill) to be the big bruising team. I’m openly routing for Vegas’ downfall.
Colorado Vs. Vancouver could be some of the best hockey we’ve seen in years.

The refs weren’t going to let the Blues mug their way through the playoffs like last year.

Last year, the Blues had the best goalie in the playoffs. Great goaltending gives you a chance to win every night, which builds the team's confidence, which builds momentum.
This year, they had arguably the worst goaltending in the playoffs (Calgary game 6 notwithstanding). When your goalie keeps letting in weak ones, it drains your momentum and gives your opponent momentum. If it happens enough, it becomes soul crushing.
The Blues had taken over the series in game 5 when Markstrom made several 5-alarm saves to keep his team in it. Then one shot the other way and it's 3-2 instead of 6-1. The series flipped at that moment and the Canucks scored the next 7 goals.
As the old saying goes: goaltending is 70% of hockey, unless you don't have it, then it is 100%.

I could never cheer for the canucks.
I hate Vegas too. What a nightmare.
We better hope that Benning manages to mess up the canucks cap structure, because they have all the key pieces in place to become a legit contender for a long time. What a piss off.

A surprising amount of Stanley cups are won because young goalies come out of no where and put the team over the top.
See Pittsburgh 2016, 2017, St. Louis in 2019. Carolina in 2006. Even the Flames got to the finals this way in 2004.
Goaltending is huge.
This is why I'd rather have Lehner than Hall if possible.

But you're contradicting yourself here a bit.
The goalie for the Pens on their Cup wins was a young kid that came out of nowhere, and the goalie for the Blues was a journeyman AHLer that also came out of nowhere. Both of those goalies have fallen back to earth in recent times.
So why pay a fortune for a UFA goalie when it doesn't guarantee that you'll get the goaltending you need?
My point is, you'll never guarantee it. Just get a couple of somewhat steady goalies and hope at least one of them finds his groove at the right time.

Even the league's top goalies aren't consistent year to year. Look at Bobrovsky, as the ultimate example. Look at Price. Rinne's at the end of his run now, but even in his prime, he was up and down. Same with Kipper. There have only really been three guys since the 06 lockout who have really had that year in year out consistency as being clearly above average for an extended period: Lundqvist, Rask and Luongo. You could add Quick to that to a lesser extent; from 2010 to 2018 he was pretty much a .915-.920 guy in every year except one.
Basically, with very, very few exceptions, expecting a goalie who put up good numbers in year X to put up similar numbers in year X+1 is a questionable bet to make, and once you extend it to a longer term deal, the bet becomes goes from questionable to atrocious.

No way an agent does something like that without his client knowing. That’s Walshes style, I remember him complaining on Twitter when Frolik was a healthy scratch.

If that's true, not a good look for Fleury as his team dominates their way to round 2.

Well that has to be awkward for Pacioretty who is also represented by Walsh. What a clown.
Fleury is signed for another two years.
Lehner is a UFA.
DeBoer is signed for another three years.
This will be entertaining!

Walsh is a closet Canuck fan trying to create locker room drama to distract the Knights.

I hate it when Vegas wins a round. Their fans have had it way too easy.
So go Canucks.
