Also the Hurricanes are a very fun team to watch. I think Canes in 4.

Some things that the team really had no control over have hurt.
Fox not willing to sign, kadri not willing to waive. And who knows what else.

I always thought Aho was a one dimensional small skilled player.
Watching him a bit here and he's really good defensively. He even plays on the PK.

Or just be the much better team with an average goalie and dominate. That's a much better recipe for success than leaning on an expensive goalie.
I don't think there's a team in the last decade who won the Cup because of having a 5+ million dollar goalie in net.

Also Holtby 6.1M. Fleury AAV 5.75 even if he wasn't the 1A for the last 2 cups. Tim Thomas might be the only other one at $5M on a lower cap.
The premise is right, though.
