Yeah I'm all for change after this season. but Peters did an excellent job this year. He is the last person that is to blame for the playoffs. What a strange thing to say.

CBJ got Duchene, St Louis got ROR. Both would be a huge upgrade on Monahan. Duchene is a Ufa too so i think we have a shot at him.

Sign Duchane, trade Monahan+Neal for some high picks, The youngsters on defense get a year older, Bennett builds on his good playoffs and becomes a 40 maybe even 50 point player. We get more grit and i think we would be in a way better position next year.

He was giving it away so much cause Monahan was giving him no support.

Neal should not be banned from the Flames dressing room. Or give him 10 games at the start of next season. If he can't get 5 pts, he should be scratched, waived, and buried in the minors forever, unless some teams are dumb enough to take him.

You're probably not getting a high pick, let alone picks, if you're packaging Neal with Monahan. Some significant luster came off Monahan in this series, but at least his contract is good.
Neal, on the other hand, is a disaster

Both sucked.
Not sure how that’s even a debate.
Both were awful

Celebrated Square Root Day

Blaming Peters is nuts, imo. He can coach, he just had a roster of inexperienced, non playoff style stars.
I'm actually excited for this off season. I predict the following:
1. Brodie traded for a 2/3rd liner that positively contributes
2. Monahan or Gaudreau traded 1 for 1 for another forward. Maybe less regular season offensive stats but more toughness, playoff experience
3. Frolik/Stone traded to alleviate cap concerns
4. Tkachuk signed for a much more reasonable contract than we thought in January.
I know everything sucks right now, but Brad is a great GM, imo and I think we're going to see some good change from this.
You were practically run off this board for ever suggesting Monahan wasn't the number one centre you win with (especially text and Calipanthersfan), but I think most can see it now and I think that's what Brad attacks. Get that strong, two way, offensive centre somehow.

I don't think any team would trade a bag of pucks for Neal & his contract...

Might get crap for this, but is tree a guarantee? I mean they have had about as much success outside of the regular season as they have since he got there.

No kidding. We need size and toughness. Flames are the softest team in the NHL. Not even close really.

Scoring Winger

What's with the hate for jankowski? He's a serviceable third line-winger who is a great penalty killer and gets you 10 goals.

I need to wait until the clock runs out, throw a few violent temper tantrums, and then I'll be back to play "What Would Brad Do?"

You're all mad hatters of you think Treliving is going to carve this roster up. We are in the fine tuning stage of the process. So.e secondary pieces will be swapped around but the cores not going anywhere. And that includes Tkachuk, Bennett, Lindholm,Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, Andersson, Valimaki etc etc.
