Ha! Especially because it’s been like 35 years since 5 game series have been played in the NHL.

Did Andersson just catch the puck on the blade of his stick as he was facing away from the puck?

The showed a wide shot from the Winnipeg end in the first period, they were playing man and Andersson was on Ehlers.

Seemed like Hanifin might have been a bit lost on the play. Might have to look at the play again, but he seemed really high up in the neutral zone for whatever reason which caused him to be no where close to the play.

First of all, Andersson was the deep guy.
But even more directly, Ehlers was by the boards on Andersson's side of the ice. And Andersson was with him. Ehlers took off along the blueline and Andersson stayed with him half way, then just let him go for some reason.

Andersson plays the right side though. Ehlers came in from the left whIch is Hanifin’s side.

Well...ya know, sometimes they switch during live play. Ehlers, for sure , 100 % beat Andersson.

he started from his left (the Flames' right) on Andersson's side, and skated all the way across the blueline before receiving the pass.
Also, Andersson was with him, so it was his man. Then he just let him go.
100% on Andersson.
