Default PlayStation 2 games

Yes, I know it's old but my nephew just gave me his PS2 (I feel old) since he has a PS4 and an Xbox 1. He gave me Gran Turismo 3, Call of Duty 3, a fishing game, and NHL07. Any recommendations for some decent games? I mainly like driving simulators, but sports and shooting games are okay too. I have a bid in on Gran Turismo 4 on eBay for really cheap and should find out in a few hours if I won the auction.

You don't have the PS2? Too bad I don't live in Calgary or I would give you mine. Just sitting in a box.

My nephew have me his PS2. It's the first console I've had since my PS1 back around 2001.

Looking for some game recommendations...

Metal Gear, San Andreas and probably Tony Hawk 3 were my favorites. Video Game Traders has a huge selection.

Need for speed most wanted. One of the best games ever. But NOT the remade version for PS3.

This one:

Never spend money on this version though (it’s seriously terrible):

GTA is the best series ever. All of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas are worth playing. San Andreas is my favorite

Need for Speed Underground is one of my favorites

I loved Madden and NHL during that generation. I think it would be a lot of fun to play NHL 07. It's crazy it's been 13 years since this was our roster: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/l...000432007.html

Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge are two of the best arcade racers ever made. I'm playing them through right now on the PCSX2 emulator and they hold up extremely well. Also SSX Tricky is one of the funnest snowboarding games ever made if you're into that at all

If you have a half decent PC I'd recommend giving the Gamecube version a shot through the Dolphin emulator. 1080p, vsync, and anti-aliasing really help make it look more contemporary. I played it through start to back last year without a single hiccup

Echo the Gran Turismo 4 recommendation, amazing game.

NHL 2004 is fantastic.

If you're an RPG fan, FF 10 is a fun one.

Spiderman was awesome at the time.

SSX was awesome. Tony Hawk 3 was one of my favorites.

SOCOM was also another of my favorites too

Thanks for all the replies! I won the eBay auction for Gran Turismo 4 so hopefully it arrives soon. I also ordered a memory card from Amazon. I'll look into some of the other games that were mentioned above.

PS 2 stuff constantly shows up in thrift stores and whatnot. You should go take a look every once in a while.

I would agree to check out Video Game Traders. They always have a huge stock of PS2 games and unlike eBay or a pawn shop, they test all the games they sell and you can take the game back (within 30 days I think?) if something isn't working.
