I was looking on YouTube to see if there were any videos posted of today's eclipse, and I came across this one from March 2015 of a solar eclipse caught on camera during flight. So cool!:

Yea, here in Vancouver we only got around 90% I'm told, but it was still fairly bright outside. Kinda disappointing.

This might be the beginning of an addiction. Travelling to see eclipses might be my new excuse to go places. This corner of Idaho is gorgeous, ftr.
Meh, they thought the Earth was flat, 6000 years old and the center of the Galaxy so I wouldnt put much stock into what those guys thought.

Pretty cool to see even from downtown. Had my glasses and I must say, as cool as it was to see the eclipse, it was pretty cool to have so many random hotties come up and ask for a view.

It was like having a cute dog to pet. Everyone wanted a piece.

I've been teasing my wife about how easy it is to fry your vision from even peeking at the eclipse... now I might change her L and R contacts in her case overnight- slight difference between the 2 and her vision will be a little off tomorrow. bahahaha.

I had a welding helmet but a client of mine just came by with his 'Eclipse Glasses' and I have to say that they were superior. Very, very cool.

I'm actually really glad that so many people are so into this. Get your asses outside and enjoy the occasional Celestial Event!

Lots of fun to watch. Glad I took the day off.

The little thing I really noticed was the temperature change.

Our parts manager came to the rescue, and had 4 sets of glasses. Meanwhile all our techs insisted on using the welding helmet. Lol

Really neat to see regardless.

April 8, 2024 for North America - Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Kingston, Montreal, Fredericton, Summerside, Gander all in totality... the Great Eastern Canadian Eclipse, perhaps?

The best I could do with my 75mm lens, 12 stop ND and a polarizer. Full frame and crop. Might be able to get a bit better off the RAW image. Maybe next time I'll be better prepared!

2019 and 2020, but you have to go to Chile or Argentina. 2024 for the next one in North America. 2021 if you want to go to Antarctica.
